It's definitely up there.

Game 1 of the WCF. I was watching it with a lot of people, none of us knew how to react. That performance was just unreal.

Not in NBA history but perhaps the best since MJ in terms of clutchness. In terms of dominance, it was the best since prime SHAQ (talking about a whole playoff run).

How many years is 10+ exactly?

It has to be up there.

92 and 93 Jordan were on a different level. The closer the games got the crazier he went. And Jordan always scored more in the 4th quarter. And Jordan frequently averaged 34ppg in playoff runs.

Definitely the best since MJ, but the numbers would indicated (at least the 4th qtr numbers) that MJ was better in the early 90's...

Also don't know Bird's numbers...and he was a beast late in close games.

Definitely on the short list for best ever though...and while is wasn't really defined in the "clutch" metric...he also had the greatest shooting performance in NBA history against the Thunder on his 48 point game

But yea...it was the Mavs 8th ranked defense in the regular season and playoffs that allowed us to win...:facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm

If Lebron just played even close to his normal averages, the Heat would have won. Unfortunately for Dirk, history will remember 2011 more for the historic choke job.

Probably . Maybe , Rick Barry and Jerry West had better performances in clutch time . But that just my guess .

Jordan's second 3peat was more clutch than his first . I don't think he has case over 11 Dirk . Bird could great shooting effort but i don't think he had more than 10 points along entire playoff run at the clutch time .

I remember game tape of West's , that was probably Game 4 of 62 Finals , Elgin choked in fourth quarter and Young Jerry take the leadership and put most points of his team's .

Rick Barry known as a great shooter and tough player when his team struggle . I don't have records but i guess Barry and West had good numbers .

what makes dirks 2011 run special is:

a) his - in comparision to the "real contender - weak supporting cast (https://espnfivethirtyeight.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/paine-datalab-lebron-cast-2.png?w=610&h=2028)

b) to defeat the bryant, gasol, jackson lakers, the durant, westbrook, harden thunder and the big 3 from miami.

regarding his 4th quarter stats....its just unreal if you consider against what compeition he did it:

2011 playoffs stats 4th quarter:

Dirk: 10 ppg on 51/53/94

that is alien-esque. god-esque.

his 2011 run was special
