Beautiful defensive switch by Kobe and Horace Grant on Duncan and Sean Elliott from 28:51 to 28:59 with a baseline floater on the other end by Kobe

Some real good stuff here. I love watching footage of prime Shaq arguably the most unstoppable player in NBA history.

I hate to sound like a grumpy old man, but nothing like this is really happening today.
Bran and KD are amazing in their own right, but this was special.

Nice upload, lots of hard work there. The highlights however remind me of the time when I absolutely despised Kobe, and the Lakers. Shaq is so smug. Kobe with his blatant Jordan swagger jacking, and his obnoxious cocky attitude. Not confident, but out right cocky. Wasn't a fan of Kobe during this time. Spoiled.

neither was i. i hated the lakers during their 3-peat and i hated how they always seemed to have won in the end. loved it when the pistons finally dethroned them and blew it up, but looking back at it had they stayed together they could have potentially won 5-6 champions together alone. but only if shaq was willing to take a pay cut (the complete opposite of what happened) or kobe to allow management cap space to sign better players around them. the spurs would have been a tough out but as long as they made it to the finals who in the east would stop them? the 2005 pistons weren't the same team before, no way lebron would have been any threat in the finals at all considering his well documented 2007 finals performance. could see the celtics taking a win from them in 08' but by that time shaq would be nearly done.

but that's all hypotheticals. at the end of the day the everyone loved to hate the lakers though.

Agreed. :applause:

I would take 2001 Lakers almost over any other team past or present.

Kobe and Shaq trumps Lebron and KD.
