Who would you choose for three seasons only. Peak Shaq or current LeBron and Bosh?

Shaq, not even close,

It's easier to put a team around him and he is so dominant, he would destroy todays front courts

Shaq.

At his peak, he has performed well in every single series he's played in.

The only way I wouldnt take shaq in this scenario is if I have to take Kobe too but cant have Fisher. Because then ur basically screwed.

Lebron and Bosh easy. Shaq is not winning without a Kobe or a D Wade beside him. Lebron and Bosh alone is enough to make it to the ECF or Finals.

If you're asking me Shaq + Kobe vs. Lebron + Bosh that's a different story. But if you're talking Shaq vs. Lebron AND Bosh I'll take the later.

The thing is, in the playoffs Lebron and Bosh both have had extremely bad series.

With Shaq, he's been so dominant and consistent throughout his prime.

Shaq and it's not close at ALL. Shaq puts up better numbers than both of these guys combined. It's like asking, Peak Kobe or current Afflalo + Nelson

What if Shaq gets into foul trouble or what if the opposing team uses that hack a shaq method :biggums:

LeBron and Bosh is clearly the answer.

Lebron + Bosh > Prime Shaq. Prime Shaq over either of them individually though.

Peak Shaq needed all-time great guards like Kobe, Penny, and Wade to really be a contender. Penny before he was injured was probably going to be a top 25 player of all-time.

Kobe's the 2nd greatest SG ever, Wade is the 4th or 5th greatest SG ever. Is that telling you something yet?

Even when Shaq had a pretty stacked squad from a talent perspective with: Elden Cambell, Nick Van Excel, and prime Eddie Jones he couldn't get it done.

I take current LeBron / Bosh over an exclusively led Shaq team, all day, every day and twice on Sunday.

Prime Shaq in today's NBA is a ridiculous mismatch against every other team, I mean there is literally noone playing today even remotely close its laughable. I mean Lebron has guys like Durant, George, even Pierce a few years ago who gives him a good matchup. Shaq circa 2000 would simply be overwhelmingly dominant today versus any other center.

In today's NBA? Shaq and it's not even close. Peak Shaq would be a 45/20 threat every single night in the playoffs, probably average 35/14/3/3/1 in the regular season.

Depends who else is on the team. But Shaq would destroy every center today. He will average 30 points and like 12 rebounds if he played in this era.

Shaq is obviously going to dominate this small ball league, without true centers he'd have an even bigger feast. That much is true. But Shaq alone isn't enough to beat a team with LeBron, and Bosh. He'd need some kind of help.

Peak Shaq averaged 30/14/4/3/1 in his own era...His stats would not regress today.

i concur with swish. shaq failed miserably without an all-time great guard or something equivalent. he is a legendary center who would decimate today's front-courts but he needs a consistent valid perimeter threat to give him easy looks inside. shaq admitted to not being a great rebounder and he's not a historically great shot-blocker either statistically so that is something to consider as well.

Lebron and Bosh, it's not even close to be honest.

Heck, I'll take Lebron alone over Shaq.

I think it's easier to build a team around peak Shaq than LeBron and Bosh (or essentially just LeBron).. Bosh would be in the middle of my list of idea PFs for LeBron of current players. Maybe upper middle, but not near the top.

Peak shaq is only equaled by Jordan/Wilt.

How current are we talking here? Because Lebron is averaging 31/9/8/3 in February...
