Which team in your eyes has the darkest future ahead? Could be that they are stuck with a lot of salary, no draft picks or you just don't have a good feeling about where they are headed.
My pick: Brooklyn

Heat, LeBron is leaving after this year to play with Durant. Wade's knees are shot, Bosh does what LeBron does so he'll be in OCK too.

I have a GREAT feeling about where Brooklyn are going... but then that's because we have their 16 and 18 UNPROTECTED PICKS.
Anyway, the answer is pretty obviously Minnesota

Yeah, because people usually leave places like Miami for places with dirt roads, saloons, general stores, horse troughs and black smiths.

WRONG. According to their star player, they have a better foundation than the Lakers.
Then again, the Lakers are shit too this season, so there's that. :oldlol:

Suns, exciting team. But the don't have a formula that wins in the playoffs. They'll be disappointed just like they were with the Nash teams never making the Finals.
Get ready Suns fans to get burned.

Yeah. Superstars always leaves championship teams for teams that have never won anything. Happens all the time. Kobe really fcuked up when he didn't leave LA in 2010 for Charlotte.

I highly doubt many, if any, actually expect to win anything.

Indeed. East is so shitty. Could've won 3 'ships. But nope, had to stay in the West. Now all those long battling West series has his knees saying WTF.

I wanted to say Dallas at first, but they have a great coach and an owner willing to spend the money.
nets, knicks are of course the usual suspects..
denver seem to go nowhere.
Memphis when ZBo is finished ?

knicks, brooklyn, cavs.
Lakers will likely draw free agents but remember there was a bunch of reports going around a season ago about it no longer being a top free agent destination and no one wanting to play with kobe. Probably all bullshit though they should be fine.
surprised noone said cavs, with it looking they may have to blow it up again that's a real bad sign for a team that has already been rebuilding for a few years. Their issues seem to be steming from management too which is even worse.

For foreseeable future - Knicks, Minny, Lakers are shackled too.
Nets will suck for couple of seasons, after that they'll have all the cap in the World (all the tax too :oldlol:) to sign any superstar(s) willing to join.
Same with Celtics, I dont think they'll suck for long, they have a very good foundation to build the team from ground up.

Sadly I must say the Knicks.
Yes I am excited about Timmy Jr... but that's about it. Melo is bolting. It might be fun watching Timmy on his own team, except we know it won't be because JR is there to suck any excitement out of everything.
Now if Melo doesn't bolt and doesn't opt out? Cap space next year to sign some players and then they own Melo's bird rights to re-sign him to whatever he pleases. But then again, to expect Melo to play on the same team next year and asking for loyalty is not likely to happen. I wish someone could talk to him and tell him this would/could be the best thing to do if he wants a chance to win in NY. But then again, he isn't getting any younger.
Naaaahhhh, its Brooklyn. Oldies + no picks. No youth on the way.
There is no more of a depressing max player to have than Deron Williams.

Thunder. After 2 more years of being booted from playoffs, Durant and Brooks leaves. Team left looking like Houston. Lakers runners-up, because front office will turn out worse than NY and fans lost in the smog.
Brooklyn will be fine in about 5 years or so. Plenty money there.

Yeah they were traded for but thats not that point. What in the ****ing world makes you think that sh1t joke of a "team" they call the Knicks doesn't have a dark future? Have you seen their last 4 decades? Have you seen them this year? Have you seen their upcoming (lack of) draft picks? That's past, present, and future. A history of failure, currently failing, and destined to fail in the upcoming years. ****ing pathetic.

Not gonna happen. 1991 in the NBA Finals, 2000 back to the NBA Finals. 2008 back to the NBA Finals.
That might be the case for the Celtics though. They were irrellevant from the time Bird left to the time KG and Ray arrived.

WTF we were a playoff team in the 2000s and had gone to the ECF :wtf:
Jesus did you start watching basketball when they won against the Magic? with selfishbe and nash's contract the lakers are screwed and are diving straight into mediocrity

Nets. ZERO draft picks, no young talent aside from a meh euro and a meh Center. No cap space until 2016-17, when Deron will prevent them from getting Durant or any other big name.

I've been watching since 96. Pierce and Walker were never a threat to anything and were never considered a threat to anything. One trip to the ECF does not make you relevant, especially in a horrible, horrible Eastern Conference. 1 ECF in a sh*t conference vs a 3 peat and a 2 peat a few years later.
By the way, I respect most Celtics fans and I love Rajon Rondo. He's my favourite PG. I'm just being realistic here. The Celtics were irrelevant until KG arrived. I wish the Celtics the best of luck in rebuilding though, but ever since Bird retired Boston has not been a desirable destination for free agents, so it's going to be an uphill battle.
