View Full Version : Kevin Love will never...EVAAAAAAAA lead a team to a championship.

Love simply doesn't have the complete game to lead a team on both sides of the ball. He is truly the 2nd coming of Pau Gasol; Kevin Love needs the Batman to his Robin.
Kevin Love may have all the natural talent in the world, but that has only lead his team to Shabazz Muhammad and the other lottery picks Minny has aquired during Love's tenure.

He'll never win a title as the best player on the team... but you can say that about most players in the NBA.

ok we all know your aiming this at lakers fans.
if loves goes to the lakers he won't lead them to a championship on his own.
but your missing the fact that if love goes to the lakers they become a free agent destination again with a youngish star player to join up with and owners with big pockets.
If loves goes there the only way I can see them not drawing other stars is if kobe is still trying to run the team and doesn't share the load a bit.

Naturally gifted bigs should be able to win as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd option. Hakeem and Duncan did it.
no pun intended

Nobody wins a championship alone....but can he make the playoffs atleast?
Imagine if it was Dwight, Melo etc missing the playoffs with those Minny teams, they would get killed on here.

His playoff stats are a good representation of how he elevates his game in the postseason.........

D12 was never as offensivley gifted as Hakeem... so that argument is done.

Russell played in a era full of short white guys.
Duncan was a very good offensive player, not as good as Hakeem, but was very good in the aspects of the game that mattered.

I don't get this. This thread is clearly aimed at Lakers fans (unless OP somehow things the Wolves have championship aspirations), but in that other thread about Love not being impressed with the Lakers, everyone was laughing their asses off about how the Lakers aren't getting Love. Are you basically confirming that the Lakers are undoubtedly going to sign Kevin Love, or are you trolling the Wolves, Mavs, or whatever team decides to sign him?

So what you are saying is Dwight is not good enough to be semi-decent on offense or at least learn some post moves that will allow him to score when defenses don't allow him to get easy dunks, therefore throwing any/all chances the Rockets have of ever winning a title out the window?
Thank you

Dwight is already a top 10 post center in the league and is a 20-10 machine.
His offense is set and can do nothing but get better. What really handicaps Dwight from averaging 30-10 is his lack of a midrange shot.
Anyway back on topic....
Love = Gasol ========= Robin

Kevin Love, Timberwolves: Love had 42 points and 16 rebounds as the Wolves took down the East-leading Pacers 104-91. It was Love's eighth straight game with at least 25 points and 10 rebounds, the longest streak since Shaquille O'Neal accomplished the same feat Jan. 3-19, 2005.

shaq is a 3-time fmvp and a 4-time nba champ and was apart of the greatest post-season run in nba history.
love hasnt been to the post-season once.
he probably thinks the season ends in march or april because it always has for him.

I was supplying a simple stat from last night .. you don't have to defend Shaq..
Start defending why you have Kobe on your roster with the money he is getting, and will never lead them to the promise land

Depends on his teammates. If he got traded to houston right now they would probably be title favorites and could argue k. Love being there best player.

Get real, he'd be their 3rd best player behind harden and d-ho. I'd be super excited about Love possibly joining the LAkers if Kobe was a few years younger or we had another superstar like Melo. Pipe dream I know, but still, you get my pt.
