Serge Ibaka is far more valuable than all the other PF who don't play D, on defensive impact alone I would take Ibaka over pretty much every big except Howard and Davis.

Completely false. I agree that Ibaka isn't better than griffin but you don't watch any OKC games if you think Ibaka just has a block or two and does nothing else on defense.

He does but he is highly overrated. His help defense is by no means elite and his post defense is also not very good. I think he was voted second two years ago for DPOY, very overrated as I said.

All I am saying is his defense is in no way good enough for overlooking the offensive advantage Blake Griffin has over over him.

Not defensively he isn't. I'd agree that he isn't close to good enough defensively to even think of picking him over Griffin. Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett RIGHT NOW have a significant advantage on the defensive end and they are ancient. After an era of really strong defensive PF's like Duncan, Garnett, and Sheed there hasn't been anyone to come along that has really done anything defensively.

I'd take Ibaka only because he can hit FTs right now. But however DJ is still improving his game and FTs as well. His potential has yet to be reached. I think he is a way better finisher around the basket than Ibaka.

Ibaka is almost complete. He will never develop a low post game, he loves that J too much.

Ibaka is the better pick and roll player however. DJ needs a lot of work in this aspect.

Ibaka. You can actually put him in the last 5 minutes of the game and get production from him. With Jordan he you have to worry about him going 0-2 from the stripe.

He is one of the best mid-range jumpers in the league for a big-man. It's the point know if he takes it 18 feet or closer you expect it to go in.

Right now I'd take Ibaka, but it's close. By this time next year, I can almost guarantee DeAndre will surpass him. Both are important to their team's success, but I think Ibaka means a little more to the Thunder due to his ability to score and the team's lack of depth.

It really depends on team composition.

DJ gives you no offense while Ibaka does.

DJ gets a ton of rebounds, Ibaka gets a decent amount.

Both get a ton of blocks and alter shots, but aren't the best man-defenders for their position.

Ibaka is the better player, but if you're the Heat, I would think DJ is the player you want.
