Assuming we didn't give up any of our 2nd string, we're looking at

Curry / Blake
Thompson / Crawford
Iggy / Barnes
Lee / Green / Speights
Bogut / O'Neal / Speights

not sure what their contracts look like, hopefully this saves the Lakers money

This trade makes the Lakers better initially, because before this trade every Laker SG was injured...No Kobe, Meeks, or Young...Steve Blake was starting at SG

Not sure if that's a good thing, because Lakers should lose games and get highest pick possible

With this trade and with Nash and Farmar injured the only healthy pg the Lakers have now is Marshall

Good trade all around IMO. Obviously, Lakers have no choice but to rebuild from the bottom up, they get a couple of young guys on expiring rookie deals.

Bazemore will be gone but Brooks is interesting to me with the Lakers. He's made clear the level of respect he has for Kobe in the past, and although we seemingly hear this with everyone who comes to LA, I think he will benefit a lot from becoming a teammate with Kobe. He has a really good offensive game from my limited exposure to himand according to this (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1925886-marshon-brooks-will-prove-to-be-a-steal-for-golden-state-warriors) he still has a 15.5 pp 36min average in scoring. Kind of crazy considering the time he has played in games is negligible and doubtful he could get any kind of confidence or rhythm established.

Then again, I can't boast real knowledge of the guy. Can anyone tell me why he doesn't get any time on the court? It seems like teams are giving up on him quick considering he has a start on his "got traded" resume that makes Jim Jackson blush

Steve Blake though, not a bad tweak for the W's. They drop 2 non-rotation guys and pick up a backup PG who can space the floor and run the offense while Curry is resting this season and postseason. At the end of the year, they get rid of him and clear up 4 million in cap space. Probably not the last move they make this season to do so either. This trade actually gives me the feeling that Warriors are looking to make a big move this summer whether by trade or signing.

This is where I think Blake will be super important for the Warriors.

There are games where the warriors need a steadying veteran influence to come in and control the game, not make too many turnovers, a bit like what Jack was.

This is no knock on Curry, but there are times wherethe Warriors need to take the foot off the throttle a bit and just make sound plays. Blake can do that. Blake is good enough to run the faster tempo offense and he has some very good targets to get the ball to, something he didn't really have with the Lakers.

He's a scrappy player. Definitely a good ballhandler and he knows how to run the P&R. Warriors are perfect for him because they play a similar style, only they have a much better supporting cast.

Correct.

This one trade may be the one they look back on at the end of the year when they are holding up the NBA title.

I'm not overrating Blake here, but to me he is exactly what they needed.

I think they have the most firepower to deal with anyone out West.

Best starting lineup(matters in playoffs since starters play more), solid backup PG/SG, impact defender off the bench in Green, Speights can score, and Oneal is a good backup centre for Bogut.

Is there a reason to believe that they can't do it? Oh and how can I forget Barnes who has the ability to make a big impact off the bench also.

If you saw how the bench looked, yes it was. Blake is the missing piece.

What happened to MarShon Brooks? He went from being the most over looked player in the draft a few years back to being moved more times in a season than Q-Rich in 2009.
There were better players ahead of him and he has not yet proved that he is deserving minutes over them.

This is a good trade for both parts, GSW want to contend now and need a reliable bench, Lakers are not even hiding their tanking and get two young, raw talents to rebuild with

Steve Blake is a scrappy defender.. not great but he can hold his own.. He has a toughness about him that GSW fans should appreciate

Lakers now have homeless man's Kobe x 3: Nick Young, Marshon Brooks, and "DNP" Mamba... I hope they're happy.
