Washington Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld announced today that the team has acquired guard Andre Miller from Denver in exchange for forward Jan Vesely. As part of the three-team deal, the Wizards also sent guard Eric Maynor and a 2015 second round pick to Philadelphia and received a protected 2014 second round pick from the 76ers. The 76ers will also receive a future second round pick from Denver.

Wiz wants a dinosaur comes playoff time I assume and Maynor as a backup will not cut it. Miller has that ability to win you a game in a playoff. Plus Wall will learned a lot from Miller.

Game changer. The Wizards are going to rape the east and get to the conference finals. Might even upset the Heat.

Yeah, he can teach them how to be professionals and how to always be respectful to the coaching staff.

The deal is done. Andre Miller goes to the Wizards, Jan Vesely goes to the Nuggets, and Eric Maynor and two second-round picks go to the Sixers, who are going to be drafting the entire second round.

Wiz is pushing for the playoff by bringing a veteran to back up Wall. Good move.

Didn't think Denver was going to find a deal for Dre. Not too shabby considering he's been sitting at home all tho wish we woulda got those picks cause Vesley seems like a bust :lol

Taking Eric Maynor off the Wizard's hands.
that is just ****ed. I guess denver is worried about the tax, but that is ****ed. I checked, he and vessley make 300k more than just miller. that is not enough to put them in the tax

Badly. They could really use another ball handler and playmaker. Plus, as someone else mentioned, he'd be a fantastic mentor for Wall.

Some guys clearly don't watch Wiz games. When this scrub Maynor was on the floor, the offense was basically dead, he can't create something for his teammates for s***

Do I even need to mention a foul machine Vesely? A good hustle guy sure, but nothing more I'm afraid

I think it's more of the Nuggets not wanting to take Maynor.

more than anyone ever. Maynor was so bad that he was getting DNP's when we had no other pg's on the roster besides Wall. This is huge in the short term

got rid of useless players for a useful player in a role we need

Yeah, what the hell are they thinking! Trading two completely useless players who consistently receive DNP-CD because they ****ing suck for a very solid backup PG in Andre Miller? How stupid of them.

Maynor was their offseason prize. They committed to him on the first day of free agency while guys like Nate and Collison were unsigned.

They traded for Gortat right at the start of the season. They got Kendal Marshall as part of the deal. Then they quickly cut him, believing their backup pg Maynor was better than Marshall.

Now they dump him and Vesely (who they picked at 6) and a 2nd round pick (worthless in the hands of Grunfeld) for Miller.

:facepalm

EG sure knows how to piss away assets. He gave up a 1st to rent Gortat for a season. I am ok with Miller but i hate Grunfeld.

One of my favourite combo's back again Nene and Miller :pimp:, interesting they gave up on Temple somewhat who I think is a great defender but still Miller is a upgrade and the team is pretty much 2 deep at every position now.

Gortat is the only white dude left on that team.

Good trade for Washington I guess since I agree with those who said Miller seems like he would be a good mentor for Wall

Shitty trade for Andre Miller though. I would've liked to see him play out his career playing as a serviceable backup on a contender, not the Wizards. I guess that's the way the dice roll sometimes. Gotta love his crafty old man game though
