Nah... Maybe 7-8 FMVPs if they were given before 1969. He would have clearly won at least 9 DPOYs back then.
I believe Kareem would have had between 2 and 4 DPOY awards also.

i agree on everything except for kobe > bill. they're both overrated. but i take anything bill did in the 60's with a grain of salt. 8 teams in the league, bill's being the most stacked. just imagine, a 6'9 'center' dominating this era. durant would win 12 rings in that era.

Hondo did win 2 titles post Russell. That being said, Russell has a case. Still I'll vote Wilt just because KAJ is running away with this. If Wilt had played as long as Kareem, it wouldn't be a question.

I think Bill Russell is BY FAR the most overrated basketball player in history. I am 100% not trolling in any way; this is what I truly believe. He was a great player for sure, but I honestly wouldn't even rank him in my top 15 if I was to create such a list. I think he played the perfect role on the most dominant franchise in pro sports history, and is extremely lucky that he and the Dipper were not in opposite roles. In today's league, I believe he would be a moderate upgrade from peak Ben Wallace.
The only reason I decided to post this mini-rant is because in summary, I want to put my opinion out there that Wilt was vastly, vastly superior as a basketball player to Bill Russell. Wilt Chamberlain is my pick not just for the #2 player of all time, but that I believe the #1 spot is a toss-up between Jordan and Wilt.
