Say the Sixers decided to try and move up in the draft using their 2nd rounders. If they traded ALL of them for a single pick could they move into the top 10? 15? What do you think?

Spurs would trade their 1st for all their 2nd rounders

Spurs pick will be like 25th at worst. Probably even higher (as in later).

Probably like 3 1st mid 1st rounders, or one top 5.

sixers have 9 2nd rounders? that'd be cool if they totally cleaned house and every single player on their roster next year is a rookie besides mcw & noel

It depends. If you sell them, it's cheap but when other teams buy them, it's worth it. Case in point if a team is over the luxury tax, they will sell their 1st round pick to get a couple of that 2nd round picks.

Being honest the Sixers will probably pick 9 terrible players, their draft history is horrendous aside from getting lucky on MCW( who will be a decent starting PG in this league, nothing more). Those 9 picks in the hands of the Spurs would rejuvenate their franchise

Picks aren't like currency where there's an exchange rate.
Prospective salaries come into play not just the value of the player picked.

Yeah. Sam Hinkie pretty much gamed the draft last year and ended up smelling like roses. I have no reason to believe that he is going to do a bad job this time around. My guess is that he finds someone willing to take Turner and a pick or two for a pick in the mid-1st.
I would love to see him use those along with the Pelicans pick to move up in the lotto and grab someone like Gary Harris.

not much.
they will probably combine two 2nd round picks and trade for an early 2nd/late 1st to move up higher in the picking order.
I can see them using these picks to move up higher in the draft and pick a player they like.

right, but second rounders arent on the salary scale, so you can negotiate whatever with them or even stash them overseas.
Still, no one wants more than a couple of second round rookies on their roster any given year. You might be able to package 3? picks and move up to the late first/ early second.

It could grab a decent amount of mid-first rounders from teams that are trying to drop out of the 1st round to save money, but you aren't combining them all to get a good lottery pick.

What's crazy is that the Spurs could straight up just take whatever 9 picks the Sixers make in the 2nd round and STILL turn most of those guys into rotational players whereas 76ers would just end up with 8 drop-outs within a year or two and one guy that lasts 5 years or so if they're lucky.
