So in last night's Lakers/Rockets game Mike Breen announced that Howard said he only learned one thing from his pit stop in Los Angeles, "to look out for number one." Obviously a passive aggressive shot at Kobe!
Should Kobe fire back at his nemesis, or let this slide?

i didn't look at it as a shot at kobe. could have been a shot at his agent. also when he said this, i thought he was taking into account everything that happened between him opting in with orlando til his free agency.

Kobe is #24. Darius Morris was #1.

What did Kobe do while Dwight was in LA to make you think that a jab at Kobe?

Dwight's explained this before when he made his decision. He talked about Orlando being all about making the fans happy. That he put the fans before himself (his words, not saying he legit did this or not) and thus made decisions based off of that.

Being under scrutiny by Lakers fans and making his decision to go to the Rockets, made him know to do things for himself and no one else because he wasn't going to make everyone happy about it.

+1

I think this is exactly what he was talking about, it wasn't a jab at Kobe.

That's not a shot at Kobe at all.

Kobe has a reputation for not making sacrifices to make his teammates happier, basically meaning he only thinks about himself. I think Dwight realized that if Kobe is only going to look out for Kobe, then Dwight has to look out for Dwight. :confusedshrug:

Great players don't make sacrifices to play with other players, it should be the other way around.

How in the hell is that a shot at kobe? Talk about reading too much into a simple comment and then running with it.

.."Shots Fired!, D12 takes jab at Kobe  " Lol. :facepalm

Bryant was willing to make incredible sacrifices to win championships, 11-time NBA champion coach Jackson said in his 339-page book: Eleven Rings: The Soul of Success

:confusedshrug:

if thats truly a shot by dwight, then its on the same level of his free throw shooting

but i think OP is making too much out of nothing.
