The NBA trade deadline passed at 1 p.m. Phoenix time today without the Suns making a move despite being the subject of many rumors, many of which were outlandish or exaggerated.

Suns management was not available for immediate comment but the Suns appeared to value their flexibility and remain confident about their playoff chances as constituted with 29 games to go. They are set up to be major players in free agency or a trade with the salary cap space they have built and the accumulation of six first-round picks over the next two years.

Smart move by the Suns! Why mess up the team chemistry? I have a feeling that the moves will be made on draft day so no worries and enjoy the ride.

im happy management didnt go for something just for the sake of doing it. plenty of good deals will be on the table during the draft, especially if a team falls in love with a player at one of our picks range.

however with this, suns glaring problems still exist. unless len progresses and can get more minutes and plumlee sees more improvement (or even just less regression), come playoffs if the suns make it, frontcourt going to get Spanked. with a capital S.

i think for plumlee its as simple as teams have put him into their gameplan and hes not an exceptional player so theyve been making him less effective. also going from no minutes to starter minutes can't be easy.

im also happy we didnt go for love. that has got rental written all over it. unless you're planning on winning the title u should never pick up players on a >year rental. suns arent so holding assets for a long-term thing is the smart thing to do.
