View Full Version : LeBron most likely has a broken nose.

Lebron really needs to tone it down with his trick dunks. Try throwing it off the backboard next time. Staring down your defender, taking a punch in the face, and dunking on the entire city all in one move isn't worth the risk for two points.

If he doesn't have a concussion and it's just a broken nose, then it's no biggie. They have to get to a point where he can move around without significant pain before he's able to play. Should probably sit out on Sunday and get healed up.
Miami's 1.5 games back of Indy, and I feel like they're getting closer to playing top notch basketball. If Wade stays healthy, Miami should find themselves back in the Finals.

It wasn't a cheap shot like Wade's hit on Kobe in a fricken exhibition game, Ibaka tried to block the shot and hit Bron in the face with his hand on accident. At least Kobe didn't cry on the floor for 5 minutes before going to the locker room, and he had a legit concussion on top of a broken nose. He smiled the whole way.

Are you hoping that someone breaks Durant's nose or some other part? You must, considering the face that Durant flops more than LeBron.
ImKobe
02-21-2014, 04:17 AM
How?
He went up for the block on Lebron's dunk attempt, missed the ball and his hand struck Lebron's face on accident. It's not like the D-Wade-Kobe situation, where Wade just wraps his arms around Kobe and smacks his face multiple times to break his nose and give him a concussion.
Lebron went for the dunk and Ibaka tried to stop him, of course due to the state of the game Ibaka was probably angrier and didn't focus enough on the ball and it was a stupid hit, but it doesn't deserve a flagrant foul or a suspension.

Yes? He was at first trying to use his right arm, Lebron gets a little space and he tries his best to block the ball with his left, but Bron gets up too high and he ends up hitting his face. You can see that he was going for the ball first. :facepalm He's literally looking at the ball the entire time, even when he's hitting Bron on the face he's focusing solely on the ball. It was unintentional.

Again, LeBron's nose wasn't hit in the air, it was in while he was still on the ground by Ibaka's left arm. Either way, it was unintentional contact IMO.

So why the face shot?
I already explained it, he tried to get to block the ball with his left, he didn't expect Bron to go up that high and dunk it, he looked at the ball so he wasn't focusing on James and most likely had no idea that he hit his nose.
Just look at the gif, look at Ibaka's face the entire time, it follows the ball's trajectory the entire time, I've done this in real life playing against my friends. I try to get to the ball and I end up hitting them in their face because I'm too into the game and focusing on getting a block. It happens all the time and it wasn't a dirty play.

Since you guys still seem to think LeBron's nose was hit on the block attempt:
Watch the replay that starts at 1:08. At about 1:12/1:13 is when LeBron is hit in the nose by Ibaka's left arm. You can see that is when Ibaka's arm essentially jiggles from the contact on LeBron's face:

So you guys are arguing about a hit in the air being dirty or not that isn't even the cause of the injury.

Thanks for the angle, you can see that Lebron's elbow hits Ibaka's arm when he's going up for the block attempt, that probably helped a lot in terms of Bron getting hit right in the nose.

What? Ibaka's arm and Bron's elbow collide mid-air, causing the arm to jiggle and come down exactly on Bron's face. It only verifies what I've been saying, that it was an accident and Ibaka hit Lebron's face unintentionally. You clearly see Bron sticking out his elbow to keep Ibaka's arm away from getting the block.

And yes, I saw Ibaka's right arm jiggle on the ground, but that wasn't why Bron broke his nose, he broke his nose mid-air. If he broke Bron's nose on the ground, he would have reacted prior to the dunk.

Roger Federer is elite mentally and cried like a baby after being defeated.
Crying does not make you any less of a man.
Squirming on the floor and flopping relentlessly at 6'8 250 makes you a weak minded athlete.
I like LeBron but let's start addressing his mentality objectively.
I would be surprised if there is any man that goes through their entire life without ever once breaking down and crying like a little child. Doing it in public does make you look like a bit of a ***** though.

I don't know why exactly, but reading this exchange with #ImKobe and Myth really pissed me off. Myth was trying to point out what actually happened, and was 100% correct, and this moron just tried to act like he didn't read any of it, then quoted it but twisted the information. I just can not stand people who blatantly try to fight against the truth. Ibaka's arm swiped upward and hit LeBron's nose while they were still on the ground, and made no contact with his face while they were in mid-air. The end.

Dr Orange and Blue over here. Facial lacerations (like the one Nash got there) bleed like the dickens as there is a lot of blood circulating to the head. That is distinctly different from a defender coming down on the bridge of a nose (presumably breaking it).
And yes, players miss games for broken noses.

Wow an amazing dunk by Lebron, even before I saw the foul I was out of my seat.
He kinda ruined it by overreacting by laying on the ground then acting all woozy.
Lebron is an attention whore and this is a perfect illustration.
It would have been so amazing to see him get back up with blood all over him, scowling at Ibaka as he ran back on defense. I mean, Wade hit Kobe harder, broke his nose AND gave him a concussion and Kobe walks it off and hits the freethrows.
Lebron reacts like he just got sucker punched by Ron Artest when in reality he took took a slight backhand and got a bloody nose. Not broken...no concussion....
he just couldn't resist the attention...he had to overreact. This is on par with Paul pierce 08 finals and Wade's wheelchair

Bs Players been getting hit on posters since the 60s. Most posters are fouls too. They just don't get called. Has nothing to do with lebrick.
Lebron is typically fouled while driving when no call is made (similar to Shaq, but Shaq was obviously fouled way more), not while going up. Like what happened when his nose was broken.

How can anyone like Durant? His game is boring and his personality is as interesting as wet cardboard.

He legit got fouled at least three times on that drive and no foul. Meanwhile Cole barely touches Servant and he goes to the line for three free throws :oldlol:

I think Lebron should just sit out this game and come back Thursday against the Knicks. It would give Wade and Bosh a game to be the 1-2 punch and give Lebron a week of rest. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bulls got physical with Lebron if he suits up.

Bron doesn't get calls anymore. Since his second season in Miami, he really hasn't been getting them. Obvious fouls at times are let go.
I think it is because of the blatant flopping he is doing now.:lol

I want LeBron to either wear a bane mask or some gay pink fetish mask just for the sake to troll the haters:roll:
