It's really not all that big a surprise that they'd say this. Jordan was basically a SG version of Chamberlain until he got the right coach, the right system, and the right players put around him.

You ask all the pre-Jordan superstars who ever played who they would have wanted to play with the most, Magic, Bird, Russell, Oscar would probably top the list. Duncan and Lebron are on that 2nd tier. Doubt any of the ATG bigs would choose Jordan as a teammate over any of the people I just listed.

Zo was mouthing off before the Bulls Hornets game in 1993. MJ hung 51 and dunked right in his grill, taunting him after the dunk.
In the 97 playoffs Zo was again talking trash. Jackson and Riley already hated each other's guts. Add the MJ and Zo dynamic which was only exacerbated by Alonzo elbowing Pippen in game 3 (?) giving Scottie that HUGE unsightly bump.
Mj took it upon himself to finish off the Heat in the next game and he did just that. Bulls went on to face Utah in the finals and Zo has been bitter ever since.
