37.4 PPG / 7.8 rebounds / 3.0 assists / 0.8 blocks / 1.2 steals on 50/49/79 shooting. And his team has gone 1-4. Dude needs to get out of that shithole :facepalm

Carmelo Anthony will always be a loser. None of his teammates play hard because he's a ball hog. When you play with a guy like Melo, he can shoot 90% but you still won't want to be his teammate because he never passes. Team morale is more important than his shooting efficiency.

Such an elite player, literally carrying his team on his back and getting nothing in return.

He deserves better than the Knicks. Hope he goes to a franchise that will contend for a title with him.

This dude gets so much hate on here for the Knicks failures, be real, LeBron James could not even save this team, Melo needs to go to a better situation.

I agree that Melo gets way more hate than he deserves, Durant or even Lebron in Melo's place wouldnt do much (if any) better.

thing about melo fg, he battles for multiple efforts, with some no calls, adds up.

Don't want him on the Lakers but he'd be a decent fit in Chicago. He should go there.

George Karl is not exactly the authority on championships considering that he hasn't won one.

I do remember him being the first coach of a 1 seed to lose to an 8 seed though.

This would be more valid if the guy who said this actually won a championship himself.

Cause Melos led winning teams his whole career. Klove has a losing record every year.

Carmelo Anthony will always be a loser.

Which is strange because he's yet to miss the playoffs up until this season. That including in the Western Conference where you sometimes needed 50 wins to get in. Who knows what happens if he doesn't face the Spurs/Lakers in some of those seasons who went on to win championships/the finals :confusedshrug:

Made the WCF, got out of the 1st round twice now. Won a national championship in college. People need to stop acting like everybody is Kobe, LeBron, Jordan etc. there's more to the game than a superstars legacy. 1 team wings a ring every year, only 8 teams get out of the 1st round, 4 to the conference finals and 2 to the finals. Alot of those spots are taken by teams that are locks to be there.

Carmelo will go as far as the team you build around him. He's not going to carry a team on his back, not like anybody can do that anyways. NY is a mess from every angle, not just a talent standpoint. There just a mess.

Not to mention last year. Mark Jackson made him his bitch. Karl's a good coach but has a huge ego.

I'm not even a Melo fan. I actually find it hilarious he's wasting away, dude did it to himself. Maybe next time you force a trade you should wait till FA instead of holding your future team hostage.

I agree.

Dude should take the vet minimum with Miami if he really wants to win.

If anyone knows what it takes to be a champion it's George Karl right?

Karl sabotaged Carmelo's development because of Karl's ego. Nothing Karl says has any value.

Melo clutch all game long + long history of winning in the regular season.

Love pads stats consciously, and chokes every fourth quarter.

Record in the last 5 games? 1-4.

I think most fans would be willing to give Melo a max contract, but my question is why? Why is Melo worth 22 million a year?

None of his teammates play hard

That's because his teammates are garbage. You can't coach or teach effort and they are either over payed, out of shape, thugs, and injury prone... or literally all of the above. :confusedshrug:

Melo has a really shitty hand.

Nice stats. Care to add FGA for perspective?

22pts on 8/22 fg 1/5 3pt 5/8 ft
42pts on 16/29 fg 2/6 3pt 8/12 ft

last year EVERYONE on here was calling for him to be mvp for like 1/4 of the season, now because his team sucks everyone says hes terrible will never win etc

this is a team game and he has an absolutely terrible team, the guy tears it up whenever he plays in olympics, asg etc.. hes one of the best players in the nba

Karl 0 championships in 30 years. Seems he's the individual who doesn't produce any championships, nuff said.

so what you're saying is the loser definitely needs an all star cast

This. I don't think people realize how many of his own rebounds Carmelo grabs. In addition, he gets ROBBED by the refs every game. I'd venture to say whatever his FGA is, you could reduce it by 2 or 3 to account for the offensive boards. And if he was reffed like LeBron (or... Durant lol) his FG% would be considerably higher.

He's a career loser. He should stay with the Knicks. They compliment each other very well.

He's the third best player in the league and he's wasting his prime just like Kobe on those bad Lakers.
Hope he makes the right decision next year and find himself a good situation.

everyone needs an all star cast you idiot

kobe - gasol, bynum, odom
durant - harden, westbrook, perkins (didnt win but still)
lebron - wade, bosh, allen,
mj - rodman, pippen
duncan - ginobli, parker
wade - shaq
shaq - kobe

very few exceptions including dirk, but terry played out of his mind and chandler was much better back then as a defensive anchor

sorry melo can't win a ring with bargnani and jr smith, no one in nba history could, closest someone came is probably lebron who took a team to the finals with mo williams and varajeo, and he couldn't win a ring, and i think it's fairly obvious lebron is a superior player to melo

also melo has never missed the playoffs

I am far from a Melo fan, but the Knicks are the one mostly at fault for this situation. But Melo was asking for it. He wanted his max money, and he wanted it in a big market. But they were never going to do anything once Amare got hurt.
