Heat should waive Douglas and pick him up.

You know you suck when you get waived still on a rookie salary.

I'd take him on the Heat. He could turn into a decent pro, much like Reddick with some better players around him showing him the way.

Honestly, he can't be any worse than Allen defensively at this point, and hes a great shooter. I'd take him on the Heat, since all our shooter at the moment are cold. Always good to have more options.

I'd take a flyer on him if I'm out of playoff contention. Low risk, certainly. Get the feeling he'll be in demand, though.

Some good players available on buyouts this year

Jimmer on the Lakers instead of Kendall = 30 ppg, 10 apg

Jimmer to New York, he'll be DYNAMITE with Melo. Jimmer is a cold blooded killer, and it's time someone let him loose

He should ask Miami to sign him. Everybody has said his big weakness is that he is not a PG. Well guess what? He won't have to be with Lebron on the team. He'll be a better shooting version of Chalmers without all the PG duties.

But Utah will take him, mormon style.

Yes it's a good fit for him. He will flourish under DAntoni system. Look at Marshall and guys like Lin And Felton.

Imagine how many tickets he would sell in Utah? What would they have to lose? Jimmer is pretty one-dimensional. He doesn't fit a particular position. I like Jimmer and I wish we could have used him better. I would like to see him be the back-up SG. But I think the Kings want to move on from two things. 1. Would be clearing the roster of MOST of the players from the old administration. This takes us down to just 4 of those players (DMC, IT, JT, and Outlaw). At least 2 of those will be gone this off season. The other problem with Jimmer is 2. It's kind of a distraction/sideshow. Reminds me of a lower level Tebow kind of thing. They have gotten rid of every possible threat to taking Ben's job at the SG spot so hopefully he does something.

You really think Spo would trust Jimmer in the playoffs though? Jimmer could shoot 100% from 3s for the rest of the season and playoffs while Allen could shoot 0%, and Ray would still be the one getting rotational minutes in the playoffs.

I wish! They could certainly use him with their pg and bench issues. Hurts the tanking I guess?

Because he is among the best 3-point shooters in the league — he makes 49.3 percent from the arc — Fredette figures to attract much attention once the waiver process begins. Because Fredette played at BYU, he has long been linked to the Jazz, but sources indicated that Utah showed no interest in trading for him last week, even at a rock-bottom price. Sporting News

Can't do much when you're 6'2 and can't play point.

I think he would be great on a veteran team that needs some shooting off the bench.

Why not? That size works off the bench or next to a big pg. Jason Terry did plenty.

Meh. Jimmer can't even bring the ball up the court. Terry could (and can).

Who needs to bring the ball up court in today's game? It's all about spotting up for 3. He can certainly do that.

6'2 isn't the problem. He is an absolutely awful NBA athlete. His body type is stocky not long. He has poor lateral movement and burst. The only thing he does well relatively is elevate for his jumpshot; relative to his other athletic accomplishments because by NBA standards even that is poor.

But he has the shooting touch of the Gods. I wish I had his jumper. I'd be killing it at the Y and I wouldn't even be getting a good workout while I'm at it.
