Meanwhile LeBron dunked it in the 4th quarter of a basketball game jumping from about two inches closer to the basket, while being chased by two opponents, having to dribble, not being able to measure out his run-up and he still had to duck his head to not hit the rim and ended up behind the baseline.

If he had the same conditions as MJ and leaned in with the dunk instead of cocking the arm back, he would've dunked it even if he had jumped from two more feet further out:bowdown:

I don't agree with fresher legs....LeBron is in a game so its better...but throwing down one dunk then waiting for 5 or 6 guys to dunk probably worse. U warm up prior to completion then sit and wait 15 min til ur next dunk....

I think from that angle I posted, what gets me is his leg kick. I used to try to imitate that dunk back in the day when I was athletic. Did it on 8-9 ft. rims (I could dunk on 10 ft rims, but couldn't do any fancy dunks like I could on the shorter rims).

A great dunk filled with style - as always with MJ - but he did have one foot on the line, that's not his best FT line dunk.

In the 1985 dunk contest, he jumped from beyond the line and also filled with style, grace and power like always. Only the tip of his toe was touching the line if anything.

The 1988 one is much more known and gets "thrown around" way more (also because he won that year unlike in 1985), some haters then procede to say Jordan couldn't jump from beyond the line because of it, without even looking at his 1985 one, which is most likely the best FT line dunk ever (James White did better but not in the NBA let's say).

The craziest thing about lebron's was how nonchalant it was. If you notice, Jordan (and most people) leaned forward/stretched his arm foward to reach and complete the dunk whereas Lebron kept his body upright and even did his signature cockback:eek: LBJ could have probably jumped from another foot back and did that dunk,that's how much room he still had when he go to the rim.
