Should the NBA have a bigger court and a 4-point shot?

UPDATE: The NBA shot down ESPN's report and says they are not really discussing a bigger court or 4-point shot. Link: http://www.insidehoops.com/blog/?p=15306

they should make the court wider.....no 4 point line though, that's not cool.

on a serious note tho wouldn't shooting 4 pointers at a certain achievable FG% be more efficient than the 2 point midrange tho.......

don't they have this in globe trotters games? I remember seeing them play a college team and both sides where knocking down 4 pointers regularly from a circle outside the 3point arc. It's stupif

Screw that. This season, the league wide average 3pt FG's attempted is 17 pre game and they're making them at a 36% clip. Who wants to see teams taking 10 4's a game and making only 2 or 3 of them?

Fixed. This would ruin the sport. ****ing pure gimmick. Would ruin how defense is played.

yay for bigger courts. at least widen the ****ing court. it makes no sense to have 5-6 sideline turnovers because every player is sporting at least a size 15 boot!

The NBA just now denied discussing these things as possibilities right now:

Keep the court the same size it already is.

As for a 4-point shot, let any shot at or behind the midcourt line be a 4-pointer. But no closer to the hoop than that.

I like this better. How about 2 free throws, but you could shoot a 2 point free throw from the 3 point line, but its like college where if you miss, you dont get a 2nd shot. If you make it, you can get a chance to make a regular free throw for 1 point.

I'm fine with widening the court. I might be okay with a 30ft 4-pnt shot as well.
