If LeBron sustains, he'll be the only player other than Dirk to score over 1.1 points-per-post-up since 04-05 (200+ poss). Via Synergy.

severely underrated in the post. the best post player in the league.

I mean he's not a great fadeaway or hook shot player, but he can quickly spin right or left and use his body to shield the defender for a layup. Effective. Still awkward looking though if he does try to be a traditional big man in the post.

His fadeaway has been money this year.

I hope his improvement is legit this time around. As anyone can see on his bball ref page, his "improved jumpshot" starts sucking in the playoffs, just like his post-up game (though he used it to great effect vs OKC).

post something about this season. lebron has surpassed kobe's scoring in the post in last season in nearly half the games.
both lebron and melo are more dangerous but their moves don't look as good as kobe.
Kobe in the post last season: 75 FG made at 1.12 Pts per pos
Lebron this season with so many games left: 81 FG made at 1.14 pts per pos

Looks like lebron who is a poor post player9according to guys like you) has done better than kobe did for whole of his last season in way lesser games. as you get older you move more towards the post and lebron is doing the same.
People must also remember that kobe was trying to score as many as he could last season and had a pretty good season scoring wise last season.

why does that matter when he has more points per pos? melo and lebron play very differetly in post as compared to kobe and get fouled harder.
Anyways, kobe had 60% fg there and lebron has 59%. Lebron just finishes a little better when fouled.

if the stat doesn't favor Lebron

it must be made up

from around this time last season, there was another poster who had the full log of post up stats from 2013, Kobe was still on top and Durant had dropped

i didn't say it is fake but a sheet can be edited.
also, it is from last season. any good poster would think that it might be fake given your post history and the fact that lebron is shitting on kobe's post up number and season is not even over yet.
to put it in a way lakers fans can understand: he is more efficient and dominant in the post compared to kobe

yes, if the facts can't support your argument just claim the other poster has a history of making up stats.. nice :applause:

of course the stats are from last season, I'd think having Kobe Bryant with all those attempts would have clued you and any other basketball fan into that..so good job

you just posted stats of last season which had nothing to do with what OP posted. how can anyone take you seriously? players who don't play for lakers can improve too and lebron is doing just that.
I think he is way better than his 2012 self when he was just scoring in paint and taking very few 3 pointers. He asks for ball a lot more in the post this season as shown by stats. only melo attempts more shots in the post among perimeter players.
both lebron and melo attempt a lot more shots in posts than kobe or even wade have pretty much all of their career.

what is wrong with the stats that i gave you? you should be comparing lebron's post-up stats to the record he is going to break instead of comparing it to players from last season when no one from last year got that record. i didn't start this shit. you did with stats from last season instead of posting stats of players who were close to getting that record.

He has pretty much completely abandoned his post game over the last month. Teams recognized his improvement and started bringing in the doubles a lot quicker. They've also taken the baseline(his strength) away from him and are forcing him in the middle, where LeBron's not really comfortable yet. So while he has undeniably improved down low, posting up hasn't really been a relevant part of his game for much of the new year. He's back to being a face-up player all the time now.

I have called silk and trollsmasher trolls many times but given how no one who brings traffic to this forum is banned, i have stopped.
i picked bulls as my east team in 2011 on many forums and no one cared even though they had the best record. i didn't like "the decision" but it was clear to me after he lost the finals that he got more shit than he deserved. people treated and still treat him like he committed real murders when he left.
If you make a spurs thread that lasts for more than a couple of pages at most, i will be surprised. most threads don't even have more than a couple of replies if they get made at all. shud i make 10-12 spurs threads to please you? I never shit on spurs unlike most spurs fans on this forum. they played better than i expected them to and even though they lost game 6 in one of the most heartbreaking manner , they still came back in game 7 and had great chance to win it.
