Who would you say is the clear cut #1? and most importantly, can the heat get him?

Embiid by a large margin.

Wiggins is slowly reclaiming back the no.1 pick status.
Seems like Embiid is staying in college for another year.
I value defense a lot, so I'm not really high on Jabari.

Apparently you musn't value shooting or ball handling.

Obviously depends on the team (SAC wouldn't take Embiid, and the Bucks would have to think about it). But without someone like Cousins I don't think there's a question - right now, anyway

Not as much as defense.
Guys like Exum and Wiggins have the potential to become elite defenders.
They're not the best shooters, but they're improving.

We don't HAVE to. Embiid is the obvious pick for us. Sanders has no future here, and Embiid would be the perfect big to build around. Giannis is a 3 right now, so Wiggins wouldn't be the ideal fit considering he isn't exactly what you want out of a 2 guard. Exum would be the only other guy I'd want if not Embiid.
I wouldn't put it past our front office taking Doug McDermott #1 though.

Yes, and he'll help the team right off the bat, but his ceiling is not as as high as those two

Ennis is worse than Doc's son, who is riding the pine in NO.

Twin towers. DMC can be serviceable at PF even though he's a C. He has a good enough shooting touch from 15-20ft to where it won't be like the failed Dwight/Asik twin tower experiment.

There is none and there won't be, because different teams at the top are looking for different things.

If you're the worst team in the league, would you draft based on position needs or talent?
You go for the latter

Wiggins is terrible with the ball. Exum is better but his shot doesn't look too sporty. It's not a given that someone shit can improve. Look at Rubio. He's fast and long and can defend and dribble and pass but his shot is so bad that it limits his game.

play him at the 4. or embiid at the 4. but yeah, they can work together in a front court. embiids length is something the kings sorely need. cousins offensive game isnt limited to the paint (though, fans of the kings often think it should be kept in there). The two of them have the potential to be the best front court in the league if coached properly and both abide.

Ennis is a true point guard. Rivers never was. You can't compare those two.

Well, to start with, Rubio has always been a terrible shooter from the start. Wiggins and Exum aren't
Jabari is, no doubt, the safest pick. He'll produce good results right off the bat.
