A lot of old nerds are saying it's not like the original. Well no sh*t, a lot has been chnaged and if they tried to replicate the original, then what is the point of making a remake in the first place? They also hated on the emotional aspect, but man I could of busted a tear in some scenes when he was robocop and his son was scared to meet him. Everything about this movie is better than the original. Then again, I did go into it expecting a pile of sh*t, so that prob has something to do with it, but I left the threater extremely impress and might actually watch it again while it's in threaters, which I have never done for any movie.

I don't want to see it... the trailer was bad enough for me
Same thing with the remake of Total Recall

Robocop's family left Detroit after Murphy was violently shot to death by Red Foreman & co. There is no interaction between Robocop and his son.
**** modern Hollywood trying to slap a G rating on one of the most violent movies of all 80s.

WTF are you talking about?
This movie, he cracks down on a big time mobster, the guy blows him up, he is only left with his brain, heart, and lungs (literally), and they put him in a suit to keep him alive.
His son is taken back by this transformation and when they finally see each other, it is an emotional moment.
I saw the first one and him walking in his old house and recollecting some bullsh*t memories don't even compare.

its because they made it pg13 instead of rated r.

I gave it a 6.7/10
Really good first half and setup, nonchalant third act and resolution. I was engaged through the entirety of the first half and thought it was really good then found myself kind of bored leading into the tailend

It's an ok movie. The PG-13 rating actually hurts a movie like this, considering the original was so well done.

That's because you're a fkkit.
I don't think I can take Hollywood ruining two awesome Paul Verhoeven movies in one year. I'm gonna have to hold out on this one.
Maybe they can remake Basic Instinct with Zach Effron and Megan Fox

It was melodramatic garbage. I gave it a 4/10. You can reboot something and make it work. Dredd with Karl Urban was a good example.
Hollywood needs to realize you can't strong arm people into feeling emotions.

the purpose of the first one was to attack soulless corporate greed.
the remake was created specifically because of soulless corporate greed.

I'd buy that for a dollar.
