Yep, then LeBron single-handely murdered KD last time they played.

Now KD needs to find a way to get the media back on his side. He blew it, IMO.

I don't know if I'm more impressed with Lebron closing the gap. Or KD blows that lead. Now he is going to have to work his ass off for the award the rest of year. Win or lose, LeBron is going to make him sweat it out for that MVP

Yea its going to be a race to the finish line thats for sure, WB and Durant need to sort the chemistry out and Durant needs to figure out how to stay the #1 option and keep his foot on the gas.

After seeing him in the All Star game, I've been getting off on hating Durant. I can't stand Lebron, but I hope he wins MVP again and makes Durant cry like the bitch he is.

I don't think LeBron is close.
They split the H2H and one time Durant outplayed LeBron, other time LeBron outplayed Durant, a wash on that.
OKC are 8-1 against contenders without westbrook, Heat at one point were 3-3 without Wade against teams in general, I don't know what's the record without Wade now, but it still is obviously worse for LeBron on that side too.
OKC have two more wins with one more loss in a much tougher conference.
Durant has better stats, by a quite decisive margin.
And LeBron didn't try on defense for more than half a season.
Literally every criteria is in Durant's favor, except for H2H which is in nobody's favor. If LeBron wins, it will be one of the most undeserved awards ever.

he really can win another mvp. he just needs to play at the same level and grab a little more rebounds.

it also depends on team record, durant ain't winning a mvp if let's say miami is 65-17 and okc 60-22 and okc have a difficult schedule. same the other way.

You have to also factor in Durant didn't actually outplay Lebron in their first match up. Just because Durant's teammates hit shots when he passed them the ball compared to Lebron's teammates missing, doesn't mean Durant played better.

The second matchup was a player clearly getting outplayed. And it was Durant getting his butt whooped.

9-6 without Wade
2-0 without LeBron
Worst stats than Durant
2nd seed

There is no bigger Stanbase that lives through their hero more than the Branbase.

We get daily updates about someone taking the lead in the MVP race

LeBron for sure has made it interesting. If he would've played like this the whole season, it probably be neck and neck.

From a numbers standpoint/record, I have no problem with anyone saying KD is still the MVP for now. But with the losing streak, return of WB, and LeBron's current hot streak....the narrative is starting to change for the MVP race. KD needs to get the media back on his side. Not finishing as the #1 seed is a death sentence to either player's MVP campaign.
