Yes

no

It has been done already and the answer is no. Unless Wade wins 6 rings and 2 more FMVP's he's not passing Kobe.

Once again, no.

If he isn't FMVP for any of them then no. It's all about context tho, if he plays like Kobe did for ring #2 and #3 then they obv hold a lot of value.

Kobe has more fmvps

Depends what role he has. He would need to win at Least two more Finals MVPs to make it debateable. You can argue wade had a better prime. But Kobe has longevity, one more finals MVP, and an MVP

Prime Wade > Prime Kobe as basketball players.

That's how guys should be ranked. Not team-achievement cop outs. That's for dummies.

Well thats a bit silly looking at prime alone. Very subjective.

Who cares if a player was on a championship team when he was 22, or when he's 35. First of all those are TEAM ACHIEVEMENTS and second of all the player is not even at his best so his impact on them is lessened further.

Again, if you HAVE A BRAIN, you can compare two basketball players based on how they play basketball. If you don't, you have to simplify things for your retarded self and say "welll did his team win teh championshrips/???"

Kidd, Dirk, Durant, CP3, Stockton, Rodman, Robinson > Kobe, deal with it.

What about career, like points scored, records, longevity? Does that count for anything?

What counts is who is more valuable on the court.

That's why they give out an award each year for Most Valuable Player.

They don't give out an award because a guy reached his 15th year.

If you own a team, would you rather have Lebron or Melo with Melo winning a scoring title?

Kobe is NOT one of the top 10 most impactful players in NBA history, and pretty much every advanced metric invented bears that out. The eye test bears that out. He's not even top 20. Only simple minds who have no idea what to look for in a basketball player say "but he has 5 rings!" and then they start dividing up who was first option, second option as if scoring is the only measure of a player.

It's just a bunch of mindless talking points repeated by a mindless public.

"The wise man speaks because he has something to say. The fool speaks because he has to say something."

Kobe is top 10 bc he has 5 rings, he's first option, he's batman, he's killer instinct, he's assassin, he was alpha dog for two titles and 1a for three titles and he scowls and he scores lots.

That is just saying crap to be heard. Those words are mindless and meaningless.

Sheep gon' sheep it.

If he wins an MVP and another FMVP and doesn't average just 16ppg like he did last year I'd give him a shot.

Vienceslav
02-28-2014, 04:07 AM
Already surpassed Kobe with his 3rd.
No debate here, he had a better prime and peak.
I have Kobe 6th behind Jordan,Wade,West,AI and Allen all of them showed that they can lead a team to a championship by themselves and have multiple MVPs.
Something something rape.

Give Kobe Bryant 17 FTA's per game in a playoff series, and shit, it's over.

Prime for prime.

Which seasons we're wade better than Kobe?

Interchange players....

Could 06 wade instead of Kobe have beaten the 03 spurs? Could the heat still win with 03 Kobe?

What about 06-07 Kobe on the 09-10 heat? Wade and the 06-07 lakers?

Does 08-10 Kobe still make three finals appearances with a back to back alongside prime Lebron? Does 09-11 wade have similar success with the lakers?

07-08 wade and 04-05 Kobe just lost in the shuffle with injuries and OTC distractions. These seasons are lost in the cause.

I mean looking at this, you would seriously say wade is better than Kobe? I mean if anything, impact looks like a wash, if anything. Wade isn't > Kobe. You're trippin.

No. Im big Wade's fan since the Marquette days, but there is no chance. But being top 15 with 1-2 rings more will be a great thing. Injuries are a big factor in Wade's not being top 10 player all time.
