kobe in the 2010s has 6 months of quality basketball from 38 months so far in the 2010-2019 decade. next year humilitated by mavs and then a 7th seed with the best center in the game. sure he scored but overall he was a joke, playing no defence and being a cancer in the lockeroom.

harden will sure be over him soon.

and kobe at 35 is still a better scorer then Harden

Even wen harden does takeover dont think he'll come close to the #s kobe put up these last 4 years

Just so people know how a decade is looked at;

90's

Would be the 89-90 season through the 98-99 season. Also know as the 90 season through the 99 season. Just like you refer to the Bulls as the 98 champs for the 97-98 season.

So for the 2010's...it's;

09-10
10-11
11-12
12-13
13-14

This would be the 5th year of the decade.

As far as the SG position goes. It's definitely Wade. Wade vs Kobe in 2010 is a toss up. Wade was clearly better in 11. Kobe's 12 and 13 might be slightly better, but given Kobe's injury last season...a big part of any advantage he had is negated. And then Wade clearly better again in 2014.

And yes, Dirk and Duncan still own the pf spot to date. Dirk was a beast in 10 and 11. Still very good in 12. Down year in 13...and now he's back to being elite.

LOL at putting Kevin Love...a player yet to even play in a playoff game...as the first team pf of the decade. :facepalm

If you go by that only...then sure

Like...Wade was just as good as Kobe in 10. Better in 11. Again...hard to say in 12. Kobe abandoned playing any semblance of defense...while Wade was still a best on defense...and put up very good numbers himself in both the regular season and playoffs.

13 regular season was obviously Kobe, but he got hurt and missed the entire playoffs. What is funny, is that Kobe fans use Wade's injuries against him as the main reason why Kobe was better from 05 through 10 when we debate. Not sure how Kobe's 13 injury isn't relevant here.

At best you give Kobe a slight edge in 12 and 13, but I'm not even sure you can do that considering Wade played through and his team won back to back titles.

And then obviously Wade is better in 14.

It's clearly Wade.

wade doesn't belong anywhere near first team. dude got carried to titles by bron. not just that, but he is lazy (rests on defense, sits out every other game), cant shoot, and injury prone.

kobe past his prime is still better.

It's safe to say that Wade was the best shooting guard from 10-14 so far. It could be different in year 2017 if Harden dramatically improves but I don't see it.

35.2 MPG
23.4 PPG
5.3 RPG
5.2 APG
1.7 SPG
1.0 BPG

50% FG
30% 3PT
76% FT

26 PER
57 TS%

311 games played (Kobe has played 297)
367 total games

Played 85% of total games so far (not counting playoffs where he played almost every game)

In 37.2 mpg Kobe average 26.5/5.3/5.1 on 45/32/83 with 1.3 steals and 0.3 blocks. 22.5 PER and almost 55% TS. So in 2 more minutes and taking 3.6 more shots per game, Kobe averages 3.1 more points per game with less steals and blocks than Wade.

WTF are you saying. Wade was a major contributor on 2/4 rings this decade and had a great 2011 playoff run, he was arguably the best player in the 11' Finals. Get the fvck out of here with Curry right now. Him over Wade is not debatable. Curry didn't break out until last season. 11'-12' he played just 23 games and scored 14 ppg, 3 rebounds and 5 assists.

I don't see a problem with a lineup like:

CP3
Durant
LeBron
Dirk
Dwight

Durant is quick enough to play the 2 and can bother opposing SGs with his length. I don't really think any SG deserves it over Durant, though it would be Wade if I had to choose an SG.

Doing an all-decade team I don't think you should be tied to position.

Case in point: LeBron and Durant play the same position, but at the end of the decade, it's quite likely that they will both be on the "all-decade team". Similarly an all-decade team for the 60s would have to incorporate both Russell and Wilt, putting one at PF.

So far I'd say it's

Wade (for now due to 2011 but will move out of the way soon) / hesitating between CP3 and Rose, but it's hard to do an all-NBA team for essentially 3 years without taking the MVP in one of these years into account

Durant (all-around second best player of the decade so far) / Kobe (still, until Harden does something truly worthy of mention)

LeBron (all-around best player of the decade so far) / Melo

Dirk (the 2011 run) / Blake (the only perennial all-star at the position so far in the decade along with Love... has the edge over Love because of the multiple playoff appearances)

Duncan (his 2013 run is the best thing a C has done in the decade) / Dwight (2011 mostly, though he's having a good year this year too)

(Assuming the decade starts in 2010. Otherwise Kobe replaces Wade)

Yes, clearly.

25.5 PER 57% TS 52% EFG...and Wade continues to play far better defense

22.5 PER 55% TS 49% EFG...and Kobe's defense dropped off hugely post 2010 and he's missed more time...including an entire playoff run (will be two after this year)

The only way you get to Kobe is if you some subjective measure and ignore the facts...

You're the one ignoring real facts here. I'm going buy Kobe's 2010 championship and Finals MVP which he averaged 29/6/6 on 57%TS in the playoffs, 4 All-NBA First teams (Wade 1), and finishing higher in MVP voting every year.

You got PER which players like Chris Paul, Dirk Nowitzki, Dwyane Wade ahead of Magic, Larry Bird, and Kobe.
