LeBron, Free Throw Percentage was DEAD giveaway. Bron been slacking on rebounding, and dimes this season for some reason. Can't explain why either. Thought it was kind of obvious. What was his 4x game numbers prior to tonight's stinker?

Just kinda goes to show how stupid this perception is that KD is giving away the MVP, just a bunch of shit generated by ESPN and the lebran stans.

So this is supposed to be the difference that negates Durant's January? :lol :lol :lol

Durant shot 12-18 from the stripe tonight, so this thread was legit.

Lebron.
But honestly it's pretty sad that ESPN and the media in general are shitting themselves over this small of a difference. And this is an average 4 game stretch for Durant, while Lebron has picked it up big time.

The game before was the 'broken nose game' where he left early. So I just did the last four.

Durant's January? :lol :lol :lol

That efficiency is only a difference of a couple of shots within this small sample.
Durant - 44/84
LeBron - 52/82

The rebounding is down because he's just not putting in the effort. The assists are down for 2 reasons - 1) Chalmers' playmaking has improved quite a bit this season, so LeBron doesn't handle the ball as much as he used to 2) Miami's 3pt shooting has declined quite a bit from last season. Those kick-outs just don't generate baskets like they used to.

This is gonna be a great race. Not only does Durant have to compete with Lebron's rising numbers and Miami being neck and neck with them record-wise, voters may also give Lebron the benefit of the doubt since he's obviously the more proven of the two. I forgot who, but someone here hit it right on the nail - Lebron was a genius to bring up that Mt Rushmore conversation because it shifted the comparison from Lebron vs Durant to Lebron vs the all time greats. Durant's best claim comes from his team's record and his play while his 2nd option was out for so long, especially in comparison with Miami's without Wade.

I brought that up...he shifted the narrative and then went off.

So this is how it's going to be for the rest of the season? The momentum will swing with every game, jesus christ ISH will be a warzone come Playoff time.

No, Durant has a comfortable lead right now, so the momentum can't really swing from one game

LeBron should honestly just let Durant have the MVP. Bron's played so many minutes the last few years that he'd be better off taking it easy. Rings > MVPs

Nah.
Better stats
Better record
Tougher conference
More games without 2nd star
Far better record without 2nd star
Team would be worse off without him
Far more splash performances (40 pt games, 30-5-5, triple double, 30pt games, etc)
List goes on and on hombre. LeBron ain't changing shit from one game. Only the clowns at ESPN would think so.

Lead or not, whenever one of them has a bad game 10 threads pop up about the other player having sealed the MVP and shit, it changes with every game.
Lebron puts up 61, it's compared to the highest scoring game in the modern era by Kobe & the MVP is a lock, next day KD puts up 42 in 3 quarters while Bran has a below-average game in a loss & it's KD's MVP again.
And we have over a month of regular season ball to play.

lol before last night, most analysts were saying the MVP race was close. Now most are saying it's either neck and neck, or LeBron w/ a slight lead. Their stats are both good enough to where it will come down to record/seed. They both have splash performances, although Durant has his share. He still doesn't have a 60pt game though. I'll be honest I'd probably still vote Durant for MVP at this point in the season, but his lead is definitely not comfortable. Dude should've never called himself a servant. He's living it now

I feel bad for Lakers fans right now though, seeing the media lovefest with LBJ.
Kobe should have more than 1 MVP.

That's the beauty of it.
literally 5 days ago people were gunning for Westbrook's head and now he's back to being 'GOATbrook' and no one has anything negative to say.
You just gotta learn to enjoy the process because it's never going to change.

8 shots is a couple over a sample like that? 8 shots more out of 80 is 10%. That's a huge difference. :oldlol:
Why are you so mad that Lebron is playing well. You look pathetic. You've come out in droves as soon as he started playing well trying to negate every great thing hes done on the court.

I don't see how Lebron can be ahead after the way Durant played without Westbrook in the lineup for such a long, successful stretch. For this season, he was the Most Valuable Player to his team clearly.

Uhhh.... convenient time to do this after KD dropped 42 last night and LeBron had an off game. Take the stretch of their games from the last Miami/OKC game until the day before yesterday. THAT was the stretch that countered KD's January.

Right. 2 20+ Pt Games in this Stretch for LBJ. 1 61 Point Game, and totally ignoring the context to the "just" 33 points vs KD/OKC where he outclassed him by a wide margin... this EXCLUDES LeBron's 42 on 60+%, his 36/12/9 on 60+% + GW vs Warriors, AND his 37 on 60+% vs Suns... all in Wins.

Terrible thread.
Lebrons claim to the MVP was not the last four games. The last four games includes two of lebrons worst games for the past month in the Houston game and the Orlando game. Smh

Convenient to leave out KD's 42pt game? Why not leave the 61pt game out as well? Heck, why even play the season?

The OP was so neutral I didn't even put f*cking names in it and you're calling me pathetic... Insecurity man.
If LeBron missed 4 more shots and Durant made 5 they'd have equal fg%. This whole f*cking thread is about how they've played equally, so it's dumb for you asshats to proclaim MVP after every game.

Best teammate of all-time, letting others get assists and rebounds...
The fact is that, as he gets up there in age, he needs to rely on his teammates more as he won't be able to do everything himself, this has happened with every great but, of course, with Lebron this year you guys keep spitting that BS about coasting and effort.
The guy is having a great season but his rebounding and defense are not as good as in previous seasons but, as you saw yesterday with him running out of as, it is not a question of effort but of age/energy, deal with it.

Your posts aren't limited to what you post in this thread.
You clearly have a problem with Lebron playing well. :oldlol:
You have an agenda, and even your OP is biased with the selection of games you picked. Its Lebron's play since the Utah game, and the big win over OKC that lead many to believe hes the MVP now.
I've said, I'd still give the MVP to Durant at this point, so if anything, you're the insecure one... I mean, I'm not the one going off and posting "Balding, stat padding, f@ggot" in one thread about Bron, and then pretending this contrived thread is neutral. :oldlol:
