Durant is 6'9
but that lineup would cause problems on both ends

The Penny/Shaq Magic teams were super big too.
Penny - 6'7"
Nick Anderson - 6'6"
Donald Royal - 6'8"
Horace Grant - 6'10"
Shaq - 7'1"
^But that was a consistent starting line-up. PJIII is only an injury replacement.

why doesn't lamb start?
dannywpt
03-05-2014, 02:35 PM
why doesn't lamb start?
Because Brooks insists on keeping the key bench players rotations stable/consistent. He rather insists on starting bench warmers like PJ3, Roberson rather than the 6th-7th men in Lamb/Jackson.
He did the same thing with Harden and Martin coming off the bench.

OKC drafts for athleticism and length. Westbrook is the only guy with normal arm length.

Coop today would most likely be listed at 6'6 or 6'7, he was 6th man though, Scott the starter.
1986 Rockets, in the post-season:
Reid 6'8
Lloyd 6'6
McCray 6'7
Sampson around 7'2 (listed at 7'4)
Olajuwon 6'11 at best (listed at 7')
and if it was today, those first 3 would be listed higher, Ralph and Hakeem were listed above their actual heights though, imagine something like...
6'9
6'7
6'8
7'4
7'
Team was pretty great, that's why they beat the showtime Lakers and took the 86 C's to 2, had lots of potential but it all fell apart.

Yeah Durant is at least a couple of inches taller than his listed height. Ironic because most players are listed below their height.

:lol I was thinking the same thing when I read that... It's like why bother posting if all you're going to do is embarrass yourself like he does
to the OP amazing thing is this team isn't slow.. long and fast.

Tall lineups doesn't mean victory lol.
Look at the sixers, they have the highest average height but they are one of the worst teams.

actually it's a players reach/wingspan that matters and Durant has the wingspan of a seven footer I'd say.
Anyway OKC's size is pretty impressive. Every time I see them play defense I feel like the court has shrunk!
