View Full Version : Patrick Beverlyl: Dirty Player or hard-nosed defender

During last night's Heat-Rockets tilt, I saw Beverly at least twice go up under a Heat player while driving for a dunk, positioning himself directly under where the player was headed for the landing. It was bad enough that even the Rockets announcers (homers) called him out on it. I appreciate his energy on defense, but his play against Westbrook (completely unnecessary) and last night give me the impression he may be trying to injure players.

Thoughts?

No it wasn't at all, Nate Robinson's played that trick plenty of times before. Head over to the sidelines and pretend to call timeout, then fly past the defender who wasn't expecting it. Not the only one whose done it before either.

I hate the Thunder, but that crap, whether Nate or Beverly does it, has no place in the game. Granted, Wilt, Russell, or Thurmond would have walked of the ACL tear, but we now live in a beta era.

Beverly and Westbrick were going at all game. Not sure how his play on Westbrook was dirty. To me it just showed how much of a competitor he was :applause: :applause:

Your 2 step guide to learning the Silk Agenda of the Day

Disclaimer: Lebron must be propped up as much as possible to other users today. Discard reason and logic in order to reach goal.

1. Attack Kevin Durant by attempting to prop up Carmelo Anthony.

2. Attack Russel Westbrook by attempting to prop up Patrick Beverly.

Final note: If completed, you have now destroyed the credibility of Lebron's main rival player/team, congratulate yourself by jerking off into your friends sisters draw or pissing in family friends potplants.

He just plays hard nosed D, he actually plays with passion on the defensive side..he gets mad at himself for almost every mistake he makes on defense. That Westbrook play was just him being competitive, no story here.

Dont half ass wall up court to call a time out.

Cause until you do, its not s time out

See no problem with the play. Had Westbrook took off and shot a lay up you all would be praising him on how smart he is.

Cry babies.

I love me some PBev.

BEverley is the ugliest player in the NBA, and idiotic thug from Chicago and is trying to injure several players every game.
has zero pointguard skills and is a terrible defender against good PGs and nearly always fouls out against them.
he shouldnt see more than 20 minutes in the DLeague:facepalm :facepalm

This. Dude blocked the shot, then jumped the passing lane, then on the errant pass he was the one who sprinted all the way down court to catch the ball as parsons tried to throw it back in and drew the foul.

You can not like Bev if you want, but anybody would love a player like that on their team.

i dont think he has the mindset to go out there and play maliciously and not care about whether he injures someone. he's just a hard nosed tenacious defender that sometimes doesnt know where to draw the line.
