18 and 8 on 8-18 shooting (W over MIN)

Amare is good offensively. Great in starter minutes

Not bad, from what I have seen his defense is questionable

The sarcasm in this post though.....

@fpliii,

I thought that you were a defense first guy?

Amare can't even guard his own shadow. He's that bad.

He'll get injured.

Oh I am (especially in bigs), just wondering what people think.

Doesn't reflect his defense.

His defense has sucked but it's been great seeing him really get into a groove offensively.

In a contract year on a rebuilding team next year, I could see 15/7 if he stays healthy. That platelet rich plasma treatment seems to have done wonders for him, he's only missed a handful of games.

He's guaranteed to be above 50% and can score. If he would put some effort into D and stayed healthy, arguable would be the best big man in the league.

That clip will haunt him forever...

Amar'e is one of those players who will be underrated when his career is over, but he was a beast, and were it not for injury, bad luck, and fire extinguishers he would've had a great shot at the HOF.

6 time all-star, 5 time all-NBA team including a first, top 10 in MVP voting 3 times, twice top 5 in scoring (and PER) and the rare big who could score over 25 ppg in his era, all this with fantastic percentages... Not only that but he also had monstrous playoff series, including averages of 30, 11 and 2 blocks on 54% in a deep WCF run (including 37 and 10 averages against the eventual champion), or 25 and 12 over 10 games in the 07 run... and was one of the most powerful, vicious in-game dunker. Yet he could easily have accomplished even more than that. He'll spend the rest of his career as a role player, but his glory days were amazing.

It's those lapses in defensive mentality that allows this team to look so stupid. Shumpert, Felton and especially J.R. are guilty as well.

I think Chandler has an ax to grind.

Love Amare... but yeah, his D is suspect.

i never understood it why jr gets to take more shots than stat... oh wait, it's because woodson is a dumbass.

I want to spit in his face for this. He has potential left in him. He has everything to offer but defense yet he plays like shit when we need him most.

It seems like just yesterday he was an MVP candidate
