8 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter and he hasn't hit one. Will the Hawks play him if this is a blowout in the 4th?

Omg....... It's still going? I thought people stopped talking about it because he snapped it. I guess they stopped because it's been so long... What a shooter.

Thank you as I can't create threads yet. It seems they completely avoid him and when they try to run a play for him, no one can get a good pick for him. I'd play him even if he has to get it at the end of the game

They are trying so hard to get it to Korver but Matthews is guarding him like he knows the streak is on the line.

Matthews is following Korver around the court.

EVen on free throws. He knows

Korver tried to walk away from the free throw lane during Aldridge's free throws, Matthews immediately told someone else to rebound. He followed Korver to half court. No cheap leak out 3's.

This is fun. Matthews so wants to shut down Korver. This is better than the game itself.

Coach better play him in the fourth

Down 27 with 8 minutes to go. If they bring in Korver now this will be the most desperate move in NBA history. This would be admitting that personal stats are more important than preserving a starter.

Coach will play Korver around 6mins left in the 4th I think

Matthews needs to come in the game if they bring back Korver.

Nope, Korver and lou williams are the two players on team that coach will put in even during garbage time

Garbage time or not they should give Korver a chance..this is a really neat record he has going and if the game is beyond saving then the Hawks should at least try to keep that stat rolling

Not like the Hawks season has any other meaning

Hawks coach looking for any legit reason to put Korver back in the game. That's why I don't want the scrubs to come in right now for Portland. Keep this a blowout then Korver can't come in the game.

The streak is essentially over. Even if he gets it now it will never be forgotten the lengths he had to go to to keep it going. If he comes back in and doesn't get it he will be seen as pathetic. It's lose lose.

A streak that basically means nothing.

How nice.

Seriously, what kind of crybaby bitch gloats over:

1) Beating a soon-to-be-lottery team
and
2) Ending a streak that means basically nothing in the grand scheme of things (especially considering the Blazers suck at defense... so it really was just bad luck for Korver)

He's a terrible person, poster, and should be shunned by all intelligent basketball minds.

Time to organize a parade, because this occasion is the best achievement Portland has had for like ten straight years!

It means he was more consistent with making a 3 pointer than any other player in history of NBA

nothing more nothing less but it's still hella impressive :confusedshrug:

No Blazers actually were very solid on Defense tonight..it wasn't just because Korver is unlucky

I get that some of you get riled up because of Rosecity's trolling..but you guys are basically hitting his level with some of these posts

No point in writing to that kid. He's just the deadbeat loser of this message board. He thinks that avvy give people the impression that he's a care free guy but he's definitely butt hurt.

So they defended him aggressively on purpose just to end his streak.........what a fukking shitty move by Portland / Matthews / the coach

That RoseCity07 guy, he seems to take pride in Portland's guards actually playing defense for once.

If they gave this kind of effort every night they wouldn't have fallen so much in the Playoff picture. Lol, it takes a damn irrelevant 3pt made streak to actually commit to locking a guy down from the 3pt range? smh.
