View Full Version : Miami Will Be #1 Overall Seed - Official Prediction

Sure it's not that bold of a statement, since the Heat are obviously still the best team in basketball by a comfortable margin, but let it be known that I am officially predicting that they will finish the season with the #1 overall seed in the L.

They spent the first half of the season in total cruise control, and are now tied in the loss column with the Pacers and Thunder, who have each been giving it their all since day one. Hilariously, everyone has been acting as though Indiana had the East on lock - so when Miami finishes ahead of them, you know it will be quite a shot to the Pacers' confidence.

inb4 5th MVP for King James, 3-Peat, and opt-ins for the big three.

They'd have the #1 record in the NBA right now if they would have beat stupid Houston last night.

The dilemma for Miami is should they go all out for the #1 seed? They've played 3 straight finals, and LeBron is hardly ever injured. He's played a ton of minutes. If he knows what's best for him, he would chill out on the MVP race and save his energy for the playoffs. Miami as a whole could use that. Keep resting Wade, and let other guys like Oden and Beasley get minutes to develop their game. I'm sure LeBron wants a 3-peat and a FMVP far more than an MVP. I guess he really wants all three though, but that's taking a toll

How can you be sure the Heat were coasting while the others were giving it their all?

Visually. Actually look with your own eyes at their defense since the all star break vs. the first few weeks of the season.

If they win their next 3 games, they are finishing 1 seed for sure.

heat have a tough march but the weakest april from all the teams involved.

also don't underestimate san antonio, if it wasn't for ginobili, leonard and parker's injuries they would have at most 13 L. i can see them with the best record in the league at the end.

if heat-pacers and okc-spurs will meet, the team with HCA would have a bigger chance.

Everyone was coasting. My eyes tell me this. Don't question me.

Nope. Pacers coasting? lol. LeBron was literally not playing D a lot of the time. His offense was still pretty good, but they weren't clogging the passing lanes like they are right now. Even beyond the start of the season, LeBron's D wasn't like it usually was until they started to catch fire before/after all star break.

They'd have the #1 record in the NBA right now if they would have beat stupid Houston last night.

And they would be 82-0 this season if they have beaten every single stupid team this season

What's your point?

Yes they will, by 3 wins.

they can and they should, even by giving Oden and Beasley more minutes. Wade and Lebron can rest against scrub teams

They honestly do not give a sh!t about the 1 seed. They won't fight for it because there's almost no point.

They won't go very far out of their way for it, but they won't have to.

This next stretch will probably determine if they go for it or not. But yeah, they have a shot.
