Unfortunately, Sin City works much better as comic than a movie. I rewatched the original like 6 months ago and I guess I didn't realize it the first watch but it really just isn't very good at all. The stories don't work well as a motion picture. And the art style wasn't designed for live action either, all those fake chins and cheek bones just look cheesy, like black and white Dick Tracy or something.

Loved the first one. The trailer made me no more or less excited for this. I'm just happy it is finally coming out after many years of rumors.

I agree.

I re-watched it on Blu Ray and it hasn't aged well. I'm yet to see a superb adaptation of a graphic novel. So far the best I've seen in V for Vendetta.

I agree with your first post but I really didn't like Watchmen though I never read the comics.

Watchmen was groundbreaking imo

one of the only superhero movies that isn't in the same cookie cutter mold of "super-hero defeats super-villain, wins woman's heart, saves world from doom, etc"

in Watchmen all the hero's powers were all completely uneven, a nuke goes off in New York, millions die...they don't shy away from gore or sex, they don't give the slightest shit about children viewers...

I didn't like it but it was more realistic than other superhero movies.
