I just love the way he plays. He's always aggressive. I've never seen him passive. He knows he is the alpha and Durant is his servant. :oldlol:

He did not even look for durant in the 4th quarter. #THE GOAT #ALPHA MALE. He takes shots other players are afraid to take. He made like 3 3's down the stretch.

How can Servant be MVP when he isn't the alpha of his team lmao.

this. stop the narratives. he gave durant two straight possessions in which durant converted on both in the last minute of the game.

But he also took some questionable shots down the stretch, when he should have been running the offense. He didn't even pass the ball one time on the 2 possessions he bricked the shots and took his team out of the game. He just dribbled the ball down the court and shot/missed 2 times in a row. :facepalm

After he had already shot his team out of the game. Westbrook is my guy, but that shit pisses me off sometimes.

I understand that, but they might as well not even be in the game if he's just gonna do something stupid to mess it all up. He always does this type of thing.

I understand where you're coming from, but he was hot and missed some shots. If Durant takes those shots and misses, people look at it completely differently.

Durant isn't the point guard. Listen, I love Westbrook, but as the point guard you can't dribble the ball down the court and shoot without even thinking about passing the ball. I understand he was hot, but the shots he takes are at the worst possible time in the game. As Doc Rivers would say, he's playing hero ball.

And like one of guys in the other thread said, Scott Brooks has to take a lot of the blame because he allows them to do that shit. And so does Mr MVP Kevin Durant. I try not to get into the whole beta/alpha thing but.....well, you already know.

Those last 2 shots weren't the best shots, but he was hitting them literally 2 minutes earlier. So kill him if you want, not too many guys can drop 36-9-9. He was playing good defense too, maybe the only Thunder player who was.

Westbrook is great, but he has tunnel vision. I'm just calling it what it is. I'm not trying to kill him or call him a stupid idiot and all that shit. But some of the decision he makes need to be addressed.

That's what has plagued the Thunder in the playoffs when he has been at the helm 10-11, 11-12

Blame Brooks, before Westbrook had like 2 seasons of 8APG with worse OKC teams. But the coach asked him to be more aggressive, and they started winning more but his assists dropped and now you see current Westbrook. You gonna have those chucking moments.

Look the same shots he missed at the end he was making just before the end. You take Westbrook as a whole, you can't just take parts of him. He's still better than 95% of the league.

I understand where you're coming from, but he was hot and missed some shots. If Durant takes those shots and misses, people look at it completely differently.

Probably because Durant is a far better shooter. Is there even such a thing as getting "hot"? I think so but I remember reading an article that actually analyzed players when they get "hot" to see if it was a myth. Really what it showed is that players can get into a rhythm, believe they're hot and then take low quality low percentage shots that essentially mitigates the fact that they might be "hot" because they end up shooting just as bad a percentage as they would otherwise.

This I would believe applies to most players, especially erratic ones like Russell Westbrook. And not so much to a guy like Durant who is a great shooter regardless, or Lebron who takes smart high percentage shots. You need stability at the pg position Westbrook doesn't always offer that. I understand that's one of his strengths but sometimes you really have to question his decision making.

possible 3-4? I think they lost 3 straight then won 3 straight then lost again tonight, but I'm not completely sure.

I don't blame him for those 2 misses at the end of the game. Those are his shots, he was hitting them all night long. One can't blame him for shooting them when he was hitting them at a great %.
He missed 2 in a row, so he gave the ball to KD in the next posession.

Anyway he can't be blamed for tonight's loss, he had a incredible game and if it wasn't for him in the start of the 4th Thunder would've lost the game right there 'cause KD wasn't hitting nothing.

Thing is, OKC problem now isn't the offense. Their defense looks like s.hit since Perk went down. They try to win their games outscoring the oppositive team and although it works a lot of times, it doesn't against elite teams and it won't in the playoffs. They need to focus on the defensive end.
