I dare you to watch this video and not crack a smile. This kid is the best combination of smarts+heart in college basketball. However....he's white and kinda slow and not a great shooter.
That being said, is there a spot for him in the NBA? to me he seems like the perfect backup PG.

Not. Even. Close.
Complete lack of athleticism, height, strength, shooting, etc. He is a defensive stopper that can't stop anyone in the NBA.

fair enough:confusedshrug:
He's listed at 6'2" but his wingspan is only 6 1/2 so maybe that's a little undersized. Those intangibles though

I could see him being on a coaching staff in the NBA in the future. I'm a big Ohio State fan so I've seen him a lot over the past 5 years but I don't think he's an NBA fit. He's clearly an intelligent basketball player, solid passer and great on-ball defender, plenty of people call him the best perimeter defender in the NCAA. But his jumper is completely broken and at this point, I don't see any fixing it, he's undersized, doesn't have the athleticism to keep up with NBA players.
Can he serve a role in limited minutes off the bench? Maybe. I'd certainly like to see it, but I can't see him being a legitimate role player in the league. Hope he proves me wrong though, if this guy is anything, he's a competitor.

keep in mind that:
Nate Wolters
Pablo Prigioni
Kendall Marshall
Steve Blake
Eric Maynor (not for long)
are all collecting paychecks to be NBA point guards

What does that have to do with anything?

The guy is full of heart and every teams needs players like him. Unfortunately I dont think he will bring any skill based benefits to an NBA team that another player cant bring.
