Strong Instagram message to Z this afternoon by LBJ.

Amazing that we're still drawing so well in the stands, but tonight is SRO. Cleveland is ready to salute Z and excited about #11 going to the rafters. Everyone here is chilling with the lebron return. I hope like hell we stay as classy CLE.

You can't spell Cleveland without classy. Oh wait, you can and there's a reason for that.

What's the highlight of Big Z's career? Being a teammate of Lebron for 7 years?

2 all star games and leading a franchise in total blocks, rebounds and games played

Shame that his foot always gave him problems early in his career. Seems like he was fortunate that he was able to play as long as he did.

LMAO! Just like the Philadelphia 76ers, retiring Allen Iverson's jersey, it's just to keep fans interested, etc. These bottom feeding teams really don't have anything else to hang up on the raptors anytime soon, for a long time.

Anyhow, I understand retiring A.I.'s jersey. However, this is just a pure gimmick, to keep the fans fed, since the team sucks balls.

Z was actually underrated when he was on the court even in the Lebron days when he was past his prime. The narrative always favored "Lebron + scrubs" but Z was one of the most effective centers in the eastern conference and was always at least a borderline allstar when healthy throught his Cleveland tenure.

The health inconsistencies and his lack of "sexiness" in his game always kept this dude underrated by the majority during the Lebron years IMO. When he was on the court he was a pretty effective player on a team that contended consistently for a handful of years.

Miami retired Jordan's number, Orlando retired number 6 for their fans (apart from when Ewing wanted it :oldlol:) hell, even the Lakers retired the microphone. At least Big Z played for the Cavaliers.

Seems a bit early to retire his jersey, but whatever. Big Z was pretty much what Zo was to the Heat for Cleveland, though Zo was light years ahead as a player. Congrats

Cleveland fans might belong to a city of losing, but 75% of Miami fans are nothing more than receivers of Cleveland's sloppy seconds.

Eating where someone else has already shit, (Bron a product of Cleveland) and proud of it.:lol

Cleveland fans don't need to be kept interested. We show up anyway. We probably have better attendance than any team in the east not named the Pacers.

Edit: Just checked to see how egregious my hyperbole was. We're actually 17th, not too shabby.
