Hope it's nothing serious. Last thing I want is a new Greg Oden situation.

Back problems are nothing to joke about. It destroyed Larry Johnson's career.

And Larry Bird.

This could really drop his stock. He'll still go top 3, but this could make him drop behind Parker and Wiggins.

Hmm.. Wiggins dropping, Embiid with health issues.. this draft might not be the super draft people were hoping.

Already having back problems. Once you start getting those back issues your career is on the way out.

Last time I checked Exum was still in this draft.

I bet this draft has a couple of sleepers due to the hype for Wiggins, Parker, Randle, Embiid, Exum.

Especially playing 82 games a season + practice + travel.

"KU coach Bill Self: Joel Embiid's injury more 'significant' than back strain

Embiid, sidelined by an undisclosed lower-back injury, was to meet with a doctor Monday morning before returning to Lawrence."

Does not sound good at all. If it was a simple issue, Embiid wouldn't need to fly out to LA to see an Orthopedic surgeon.

If he has a similar back injury as Dwight did, good bye potential.

Damn, I hope it's not serious.

I know this is stating the obvious, but I won't like Kansas' chances for a deep run in the tournament without Embid.

Don't forget T-Mac as well.

This is why Embiid needs to go into the draft. Don't risk another year in college where your stock might drop due to injuries. I'd bet that even if he has some back issues come draft time, he still doesn't drop out of the top 5. Cash in on that big rookie deal now.

Great? He's still developing his game. He could be great, but he has a ways to go. He's only a freshmen in college.

I think this as well, people seem to be acting like the top 4 picks in this draft are the only reason people call it a stacked year. There's going to be guys all the way down to around picks 20 that are above average draft picks. Superstars? maybe not, but they will be higher quality picks that most years drafts provide.

That's why the draft is so hyped. There's potentially 4+ franchise players and it's deep. Look at draftexpress and you see players like James Young, Kyle Anderson, PJ Hairston, Gary Harris, Wayne Selden, and Zach LaVine all around that 19-30 range. Some of those guys have star potential and they are barely projected in the first round.

Draft is stacked.

Held out for Big 12 tournament. Red flags rising.

Rumor on twitter is that he has a STRESS FRACTURE in his back.

edit: Not a rumor anymore. Confirmed stress fracture in back
