Serious question to Knick fans. Guy was MVP caliber that first quarter of the 2011 season upon arrival in the Big Apple. Just injuries every since. Can he still get back to his game, or prime level impact in your thoughts?

Not a Knicks fan but I dont think Amar'e is done.

For the last 6 games he put up 23, 17, 10, 18, 22, and 14. He can definitely still score, just not as well as 2011.

I want to see him on another team.

Could you imagine him on the Spurs?

C: Duncan
PF: Amar'e
SF: Leonard
SG: Green
PG: Parker

6th man: Ginobili

Or just playing with an elite point guard again. Rondo/Amar'e would be awesome together.

He got PRP on his knee.

Offensively no, but he will never be all star level again. Simply glimpses and good quarters for the rest of his time around.

Amare is actually underrated right now. People were thinking he's amongst the worst player in the L, but he's still a solid 1st big off the bench that can change the game.

injuries have decreased his playing time but recently has been ballin, hopefully he has some 2-3 years of solid production left in him.

He's playing good in his last few games. Of course he'll never be the same player due to injuries. He started to decline in the 2012 NBA Season.

2005 and 2007 Amare Stoudemire was a great playoffs performer.

He didn't decline due to age though, he has mostly slow down due to injuries. Just like Wade. Kobe for example has declined due to age (and injuries too but oh well).

I agree. I also loved his game in Phoenix. He's gonna be a future hall of famer someday cause he was one of the best PF's in the mid to late 2000's.

One of my favorite players to watch of all time in his prime. Dude was a beast for a solid 4-5 years, then injuries robbed him. Too bad.

Pleast stop with the "injuries robbed him" shit. Injuries is not the reason why he has had 40+ games this year under 20 minutes, he had a minute restriction for 1 week to begin the year, everytime he has played major minutes this year he has still looked like an all star and he has added great post game to his arsenal.

Coaching is what has been his problem over the last 2 seasons, when he had to sit last year, it was cause of knee soreness, dude was beasting off the bench when he was playing last year, should have been starting. Now look, they have won 4 out of 5 with STAT as a starter and the 1 game they lost it was cause Woody dumbass kept him under 20 minutes as a starter smh. Pay attention ******, STAT will finish this year strong and get a bigger role on NY or somewhere else next season. I'd bet cash on that.

He has been finished for some time. He is basically just prolonging the inevitable end. I do respect the fact he still grinds his way back after every injury he has had. But there is no chance he can sustain a entire season without injury. For me, you are finished when you cannot sustain a entire season.

He's been pretty healthy this season. Maybe PRP worked? :confusedshrug:

In this, age of PF's, with Griffin/Love/Aldridge/older Dirk/Duncan/KG etc. Amare was better than all of them.

He's not done. Actually played most of the games this season & averages 11 & 5 in 20 mpg and 18 PER. He's not nearly worth the money, but still a good offensive player off the bench.
