View Full Version : Players you wish were on your team.

So post your team name and what player you wished was on your team and WHY.

Please, try to be realistic.

I'll start.

L.A. Clippers

I wish we had Taj Gibson. He is a solid player coming off the bench and would really help the Clippers bench with a solid off the bench Big Man, one huge thing I think the Clippers are lacking.

Just signed Baby Davis and Danny Granger. Why in the hell would you want to add another big man to that rotation? You are stacked.

bosh.
Bosh would be great with duncan. duncan can just keep playing in the post while bosh keeps hitting mid range and stretching the defense. Bosh has problem guarding and scoring on true Cs and duncan would cover that.

Thanks for the advice but gambling gets boring after awhile(unless I'm winning) and I kinda like not getting sexual diseases.

Lebron, Marc Gasol, Dwyane Wade.

I'd probably enjoy having Westbrook and Harden. Two guys that I hate watching but they do hit big shots.

Oh, and Chris Bosh, because every team needs a gay guy, it's the new hot thing.

I'm going to list guys who are somewhat realistic to get for the Kings to build around the few decent pieces we have.

PG: Kyle Lowry/Shaun Livingston
SG: Aaron Afflalo/Courtney Lee
SF: Hayward/Trevor Ariza
PF: Taj Gibson/Amir Johnson
C: Okafor (healthy)

Is it realistic to say Durant since the Blazers could have had him?

Anyway, as much as I hate him, KG would do the Blazers some good. Blazers need a backup C/PF and they need his intensity to leak to the other players. I'd love to see Batum learn to go 100% all the time on defense.

Not now he wouldn't. He's useless. His intimidation tactics don't even give his team an edge anymore. He can't hype himself up to play better. He really is washed up. No one is intimidated by KG anymore.

I'm aware of his huge drop off. Part of the reason I viewed him as a reasonable get is because of the drop off. I was just hoping for him to teach more than anything. But as a player, he has to be an upgrade over Leonard and Robinson due to intelligence alone.

I would love to have Melo but I don't give it a chance of happening.

More realistically for Bulls would be to finally get Mirotic over and go after someone like Lance Stephenson. I know the Pacers vow to re-sign him but depending on some moves, Bulls go throw a nice contract at Lance to either sign him or drive up the price for the Pacers.

Re-sign DJ Augustin and Hinrich........bulls also have possible first rounders w/ Sac, Charlotte, and their own.

Bulls
Rose/Augustin/Hinrich
Stephenson/Hinrich/Snell
Butler/Dunleavy
Taj/Mirotic/Dunleavy
Noah/RING CHASING VETERAN

And since RoseCity mentioned it, my gay player would be Rio Chalmers because he is the second gayest player after Bosh, who is on his own island of d-loving. This is clearly a theme that trickles through the Miami locker room.

For the Spurs.... Greg Monroe.... He's up for FA, or a new deal with DET, relatively soon... Would be great player to follow up Duncan.

I'd love Noah on the Blazers (as every team would). I just don't see a realistic way of it happening.

As an alternative, I'd like to see Rondo and Noah on a team. That would be a great passing, great defensive start to building a team. Surround them with some good defensive shooters and a decent bench and they could be contenders.

While I agree he would be a terrific addition to your team, OP said 'players you wish were on your team' and added 'realistically' so I suggest you ask yourself two questions here:

1. Is he good?

2. Can Miami get him?

Future top 3 center in the league. He just needs to improve his offensive game. I think he's putting up the same numbers as Dwight in his 2nd season. The sky is the limit for this kid.

Yeah total beast, quality big men seem to be slowly coming back after a few years of drought  .

He needs to put a lot of work into his free throw shooting though, 41% is unacceptable

For Bulls...

Rather have Stephenson than Butler.
Melo (somewhat realistic, considering trade assets we have, plus possible cap space)
Ross
Hardaway Jr
Waiters

Wait, what? Guys that can create their own shot AND hit 3s? Unheard of (for the Bulls)!
