Steve Kerr is too nice to be a coach. Can you imagine him yelling at his players? Trying to motivate them? Haha no way.

Michael Jordan punched him in the face during practice. I think he won't have a problem yelling and motivating his players.

Anything is possible but I do not see Kerr being a big help to the Knicks as a coach.

Steve Kerr is funny, I don't want to lose him to coaching like we lost McHale.

You think those two idiots would be there with PJax in town?

PJax has coaching exp., no FO exp. Phil had Jerry Buss as his higher up.
Kerr has FO exp., no coaching exp. Steve had Phil Jackson and Pop as his higher up.
They can work it out somehow.

Steve Kerr was a pretty terrible GM. He was GM when the Suns fell apart. D'Antoni left, Amar'e left.
He got one good season out of Shaq. That was it.
I like Steve Kerr. Even met him before. But I just don't think he'd be a good coach. He's perfect for commentary. He should stick with that.
To all those saying Kerr is too nice, remember this is the guy who pushed MJ to the edge in practice no less which prompted MJ to punch Kerr. Now tell me again if that's indicative of a "nice guy".
Just because he seems "nice" on TV doesn't mean he's always like that. Take JVG - his personality as a coach is so much different than when he is broadcasting.

not resigning amar'e to a 4year deal was the absolutely correct thing to do.
look at the knicks now.

Back then no one knew Amar'e would have these problems. And that Suns medical staff would probably have taken care of him. He'd probably continued to have been a starter and putting up 20+ PPG in Phoenix with Nash and D'Antoni there. And now Dragic taking over. He would have been perfect playing for D'Antoni.

no you fukking douche.
amar'e was only offered a 3year deal after kerr consulted the suns' medical staff. they knew he wouldnt hold up. the knicks gave him 5 years, he ran with it.
