Melo? JR Smith? Amare Stoudemire?

Melo? JR Smith? Amare Stoudemire?

IMO all three of these worthless players need to go.

JR should go first. Amare should be resigned if he is willing to take a huge paycut.

Melo is going to stay if he wants to. No one in their right mind would get rid of him. Stop hating.

I agree with the OP. Melo, Amare and Smith are all cancers to their team. If Knicks want to rebuild, Melo needs to go. He'll be the First one out of there.

Ok, so based on that logic all these players are worthless then:

Melo

Griffin
CP3
LaMarcus Aldridge
Dwight Howard
Harden
Curry
Paul George

right??

Neither has 80% of the league. Including Durant, CP3, and Dwight Howard. LeBron would be included in this if he hadn't teamed up like a loser.

Your statement is stupid

I think Amare's contract will be first. Then a package of Chandler, J.R. and whoever else for picks...

What happens next, I have no idea. No one has convinced me yet that Melo's gone. As a matter of fact, I believe Melo was informed of all this weeks ago and he's playing the hush game with the Garden.

He won 60+ games and a conference championship without a single all-star teammate. I think that classifies as a "winning player."

No they are not worthless, because they put effort into winning and building into their team concept. Melo doesn't. He doesnt make any extra effort into getting more rebounds or playing defense or getting his teammates involved. He just wants to put up 40+ points every night.

Melo's averaging more rpg than Lebron has ever averaged in his career

Melo's playing the best defense of his career

then why is his team 25-40. 28ppg/8rpg/3apg who is an amazing defender and hustles... a team with that caliber of a player should easily be in the playoffs in the east, no matter who he is playing with. melo is an empty stat sheet player

gee lets see, Chandler has missed 20+ games, there is no back up center

Bargnani was playing center at one point, and has also missed 20 games

JR Smith is the 2nd leading scorer who takes 13 shots to score 13 points on 39%

Amare can barley play 20 minutes per game

absolutely no back up bigs

Raymond felton has proven to be the worst starting PG in the league

the bright spot for this team outside of Melo is a rookie who is averaging 10ppg on 43%

Pay attention to the NBA outside of Lebron and you'd know this, that team is constructed terribly

The obvious is JR Smith. He doesn't belong anywhere, besides maybe the Kings. They don't care about immature, crazy head cases on their roster. The rest is flexible. I don't think Amare would work under PJ.

Bulls got him awhile ago and they gave him away for free. They are all about the character guys. So there is no chance in hell he ends up on the Bulls. He'll have to sign somewhere else.

Thanks for pointing that out, pretty crazy Kobe led the team to be that good considering..

Bynum played 35 games

Gasol played 27 games

Luke Walton started 31 games

Vladimir Radmanovic started 41 games

Ronnie Turiaf started 21 games

Trevor Ariza played 24 games

Fisher, Odom & Radmanovic were the only players to play & start in 40 or more games other than Kobe of course

Kobe wasn't a great passer that year, nor a great defender. His teammates stepped up BIG time. He wasn't even extra efficient. 57.6% TS compared to the teams 57% TS. He was a good rebounder though (for an SG). Stop downplaying his teammates. The Lakers went 22-5 after Gasol joined. 35-20 before that. They went from a 63% win team to a 81% win team.

I'm not downplaying his teammates dude, pointing out that Gasol only played 27 games and Bynum only played 35 isn't downplaying, it's stating facts. Ariza was out too, Luke Walton and Vladimir Radmanovic were starting on a team that eventually made the finals..

you're acting like the team carried Kobe :oldlol:

they were headed for 50 wins before Gasol joined with a starting line up of

Fisher
Kobe
Walton
Odom
Bynum/Turiaf

with Bynum only having 4 more starts than Turiaf

Gasol was averaging 19ppg on 14 shots on 50% before he joined the Lakers, once he joined LA he was averaging 19ppg on 12 shots on 59%.. but no, the increase efficiency that has nothing to do with playing with Kobe

Kobe wasn't a good defender that year? :lol 5th in DPOY voting, 1st team all defense with 2 steals per game would say otherwise

"Wasn't a great passer".. ok well he led the team in assist so that has to count for something..right?

Lakers went through the playoffs and made the finals with this line up

Fisher
Kobe
Radmonovic
Odom
Gasol

with Sasha Vujacic, Luke Walton, Jordan Farmar & Ronny Turiaf being the key reserves.

but no, continue to talk up that impressively talented roster, i don't even know why you responded to me, i simply said Kobe led a Lakers team to the finals without any all star teammates in 08, which is true, and you're trying to act like this was some incredibly talented team, when in fact, they were missing 2 starters basically all season and all through the playoffs.
