Fair enough, but Tex Winter is the one who refined it and won 9 championships teaching it.

A list is not valid unless Jeremy Lin is in the top 5.

It is probably Larry Bird.

- His career as a player isn't even up to debate.
- 3 seasons as head coach. In his 1st season he lost to the Bulls and you can say the Pacers lost that series coz of the refs. He was in the Finals in 2000. After he retired, the Pacers were 1st round exit.
- And he is the reason why the Pacers are one of the contenders right now.

He is a success in every single most considerable positions.

Well said. Considering everything, it has to be Bird.

If only coaches, you have Red, Pop, Daly, Wooden, Riley, Ramsay, Holzman, so on... You can say a dude like Don Nelson was pretty revolutionary with some of his ideas.
West has to there as usual for his work as a player and GM, also.

Jerry Krause needs to be mentioned. Dude was able to form a three time championship calibre team, dismantle it keeping only MJ and Pippen and give the bulls ANOTHER three championships.

That's pretty fvcking impressive.
