Yup. That's the state of 'entertainment' today. Gaga saw all the attention Billy Ray's kid was getting for acting like a coked out hooker and got jealous. So she decided to up the ante on the attention whoring game. Cue the vomit :facepalm

Actual talent doesn't seem to count for anything any more.

Exactly. Which is why Gaga did it. Just walking around half naked and 'twerking' (:facepalm ) on anything with a pulse isn't enough to get people tweeting about you or TMZ following you in the street any more. She had to take it to the next level.
