View Full Version : not gonna lie, Knicks seems poised for an extended playoff run

STATUTORY

the PJ signing rejuvenated the team in a way I did not expect. the whole team is peaking at the right time, Felton is converting his bitterness into wine and Iman is finally taking that next step in his development, Hardaway was the spark plug team needed.

This is impressive, PJ signed at the exact right time. Phil recognizes talent, he would never sign with a team that was not a title contender.

with Heat falling apart, I see knicks taking out bran and company in 6 games in playoffs

I agree they're feeding off the management shift. I still will be suprised if they make the playoffs.

Everyone's auditioning. I'm pleased, because at the least it raises player's stock come time to revamp.

I also love the fact that it's sticking in the craws of many geniuses in here :oldlol:

addendum: The Heat are not falling apart. Please...

It had more to do with stopping playing Felton and prigioni together and putting jr as a starter than it did the Phil Jackson hire.

You can get great odds on that.

Currently not making playoffs, yet poised for extended play off run. Seems legit.

Why? Hawks are much more fun to watch IMO. Especially if they can get pero and ayon back.

because I think the knicks may be able to make some games competitive if melos gets hot. Hawks, nah will probably play consistently and lose in 5. Knicks will most likely get swept too but that;s just my 2 cents.
and yeah, i feel sorry for melo haha.

As long as the Knicks stay healthy, they will handle the Pacers in 6. That is a big
IF doe.

If you are over 15 you should know enough about basketball to realize that teams have hot and cold streaks over the course of a season.

There is a difference between guys playing above their heads, and guys playing the way they have been playing their entire career.

I'm not sure whether or not you're agreeing with me. I'll just say there's no way NY takes Miami in a series and leave it at that.

At what point is that? They sucked all year long and only won 35 games. Even the free falling hawks managed to make it in again.

Maybe like 3-4 weeks ago when they were on an 8 game winning streak, winning 12 out of 15 games?

The Knicks for a small stretch, shortly after PJax's hiring, looked like a decent team. Not a team capable of an "extended playoff run" like OP suggested, but decent.

It's an overreaction. Teams win some times. They never seemed poised for anything imo.
