Wtf, AD has been beasting since the start of the season and New Orleans wasn't suppose to tank this year (evidenced by trading away their 2014 pick and trading for Jrue). Their owner is in "win now mode". Unfortunately, key injuries etc and questionable FO decisions made it harder to get into playoffs this year.

By the way AD is in his 2nd year, and he's still on a rookie contract until next season at least, so it doesn't seem that he's statpadding, more like.. He's just a beast but unfortunately, he doesnt have a good supporting cast.

It's not overreaction, he just has "that kind" of potential and so far is doing everything to confirm that impression. Chances are he belongs to that "elite" class that shapes the game and forces everyone else to adjust. Of course stats are inflated when you're playing against tanking teams, but it's not like AD suddenly turns average when he faces the best teams in the league. In one of his very first games as a rookie, he scored over 20 on Duncan and the quasi-championship Spurs.
