Of those 29, 28 deserved it and one guy stole it from a 7'0 Spaniard.

no pun intended

Even less for the MVP I assume?30 for the Regular Season MVP. Considering the award had 14 more years being officially recognized, that's even more insane.

Only? That's a lot of players considering only 1 person can win per year.

Technically, off course, there are more Finals MVP winners if it was recorded since the NBA's inception. Same goes with DPOY.

I understood it as at least 2 MVPs/2 FMVPs/2 titles but if you mean both those guys could've won at least one more MVP, then I agree completely.

also Legends, good catch on Unseld, but you totally forgot Nash for MVP/no titles, Dirk for 1 of each too.

Yeah, Shaq should've had at least 00-01. He was 2nd in 05 too. But he almost always took regular seasons off.

Sampson is better than Billups. You include the college resume (Sampson being one of the GOATs in college basketball history) and it's not close.

It's terrifying to imagine what kind of player he would've been if he had Russell's work ethic. Can you imagine having a prime Shaq in the league for 10 seasons? If he was motivated, in shape and willing to work hard on his weaknesses like FTs? We might've had a something like 34/16/4 guy who fouls out every frontline in every game.

Having that kind of guy on your team is like using a cheat code.

Nobody has ever criticized Kobe for not being as good as prime Shaq.

Nobody criticizes Bosh for not being as good as LeBron. People don't try to use Bosh's 2 rings as an argument as to why he's on the same level as Wilt or Hakeem though.

That is almost my all-time starting 5... the bolded guys.

I got Jerry West starting at the point and Magic playing 6th man simply because Magic can come off the bench at 4 different positions with the greatest ease of any player ever!

And for that matter you couldn't go wrong with Duncan, Russell & LeBron I doubt you even need any more guys to fill a roster. Have to think about the far end of the bench, I guess. Maybe Kobe & Shaq & Moses
