Skip to the 45 min mark. The video won't load on my computer but I remember the arrogant gaurantee and subsequent choke job happened right after the 45 min mark. Maybe a little earlier.
Anyway, LeBron guarantees to the media that he won't let his team lose before his high school state championship.... they were facing an all-white school and this was around the time LeBron became a household name....
And then it happens. Performance anxiety. They were down 3 with under a minute to go and what does Bron do? He gets rid of the ball as soon as possible to his 5'5 teammate so he can take the shot instead of Bron. And after 4'3 Drew joyce gets a tech for showing some competitive emotion.... what does Bron do? HE YELLS AT HIM TO TAKE THE BLAME OFF HIMSELF. IT'S YOUR FAULT DREW!!!!! YOU SHOULD HAVE BAILED ME OUT!!!!
Typical Queen Blames. Chokes and deflects the blame. Classy.
"I won't let my team lose" .... "I won't stop until I bring a ring to Cleveland"...... "It's gon be easy" ......:facepalm
I feel like anyone who is a LeBron fan is automatically disqualified from being able to discuss any aspect of competetion. Period.
And if you go back earlier in the documentary you will see that he missed a game winning shot in the aau national championship as an 8th grader.
LeBron has LITERALLY choked at every single level. Just a simple fact that can never be overlooked.
But GOAT, doe.... right? .......... :oldlol:

Gotta love LeBron. He treats that headband like a toddler treats a teddy bear at night.

How many players have made gaurantees and failed?
And who really cares?
Is he supposed to be an expert in terms of making sports predictions?
And at least he came somewhat close with it...they still made the championship game.
Other players have made comments about their team being one of the best teams of all-time, and they later fail to even make the playoffs. That's a little worse of a nostradamus imitation than this I would think.

Have none of you ever had any goals that just didn't turn out the way you wanted. Yes, that is rhetorical question. We all have had goals or plans that didn't work out, and had to face reality about our situation and make changes as necessary. It's kind of sad how some of you hold on to this statement. I get it, it's because Lebron stated it publicly, but who gives a shit. There are many similar instances of statements being spouted by players in all sports. The only reason this matters to some of you haters, is because it was Lebron that stated it, and he now has 2 rings and you have nothing left worth while to hate on.

Ok. Bron's legacy really is a joke now. 2 rings with stacked team, in historically weak conference.

If you hate someone, then you're always going to find new ways to hate them, facts and logic be damned.
I don't like Lebron, but I could care less about a promise he made to Cleveland or any other bullshit. I just don't like the guy, and will never like the guy, even though I recognize him as a superior talent and currently the best in the league.

I've never understood why people post the picture of Durant crying. I understand the immediate reaction that a shortminded individual might have, "LEBRON MADE HIM CRY TO HIS MOMMA"
In actuality, he's displaying a love and emotion for the game that is very rarely seen in professional sports. How often do you really see athletes cry? Usually only when they retire. Durant's passion for the game, which is on full display in that picture, is something that EVERY fan and player should admire.

LeBron actually admitted in this very documentary that he cried his eyes out after he got suspended for accepting money/jerseys.
I actually gained respect for LeBron when he said that. It showed me that he does have a tiny amount of passion for the game. But mainly I want to see a guy show the passion/emotion for winning like Durant did in 2012.
LeBron was just sad because it may have affected his draft stock being suspended for the year. I think he was worried about the money

^This dude has a great point. After Bron was outscored in the finals by Jason Terry and cost Miami the championship and Wade his second finals MVP, he didn't show any signs of passion for the game. Instead he went into ultra douchebag mode talking about how the lowly masses lives suck.
Jordan after he won his first ring:

He was inconsolable after winning his 4th title on father's day (after his father was murdered, the first ring w/o him):

Stop trying to act like you are unbiased. Every time someone makes a troll thread about Durant you always come in and call them an idiot. But whenever someone makes a troll thread about Lebron you don't say shit. You are a Lebron hater, plain and simple. You have proven you have no objectivity whatsoever.

Except people DO take him seriously. When guys like you post, people just assume your just another mindless Lebron stan with no knowledge or substance and simply skim over your posts.
What's with this you're a hater shit anyway? It's like the bailout statement when a poster's favourite player is getting ripped to shreds and crying for mercy they throw out the hater line.
You feel threatened by Dadda, because you simply can't match his wit on basketball talk, so you have to resort to being one of those yapping chihuahuas, making alot of noise but no one listens to you :(
