I projected him to be combo guard/tweener who would struggle to get open looks and perhaps playing for his 3rd NBA team by now. Boy, was I wrong.

I knew Curry would be good player, but I had no clue he would be this good. So yeah I was wrong.

I was on the Ramon Sessions hype train when LA got him.

Tbh I didn't but I also never acted like or thought that he would never be this good, some smart-asses like to mention the athleticism or even size as if that's all that matters, though - not that that doesn't matter, of course, but there's more to it.
im not sold on him yet. hes gotta have more playoff performances and stay healthy and play some frickin defense. He gets a lot of praise for someone who only leads a 6th seeded team with only shooting and dribbling. Still i'll say his shooting has a lot of impact on the GSW.

I didn't think he would become such a great playmaker. He can still impact games even when his shot isn't falling.

There was an NBA tv special of his training and completing his degree, this was during his injuries and stuff....when I saw that I knew he was legit.

I always knew he'd be a lights out shooter, but I never would've expected him to be this well-rounded on offense. His handles, his court vision, and overall ability to run an offense are well ahead of where I thought they'd be.
I thought he would bust so hard

I thought his ankles wouldnt let him realize his potential.

Thought he would be 6th man material. A great 3pt shooter with decent handles, but can't play much defense so he would come off the bench for instant offense. Never thought he would become an elite passer/playmaker.

He's been good from day one, dropping a 30 point triple double. A near 40point triple double and multiple 30point 10assist games as a rookie.

even in college he had a hot hand. it was only a matter of time before he got complimentary pieces and he settled, reaching what he is right now. he gets better with every passing season

Yes. Did you realize what he did in college? He led Davidson to the Elite 8 his Sophomore year. Let that sink in for a minute. Steph was crazy good in college and displayed the same skill set he does now.

Offensively, of course. If anyone saw him in college it was more than obvious. He's horrendous defensively however, and I've yet to see any sort of improvement on that side of the ball from him.

You could make the case that he's the best player from his draft class.

I thought he was going to be a bust. Best case scenario he would be a roleplaying shooter off the bench.

What's really impressed me is his ability to run a team. I think he didn't switch to PG until his final year at Davidson and his PG ability wasn't that impressive against below average competition. Then he comes in the NBA and he looks like a poor man's (in a good way) Steve Nash almost immediately.

He's much better than expected, but he is overrated.

I knew he would breakout when I saw him at Davidson, just didn't think it would be this early in his career.

Is he now? No one's saying they'd take him over the likes of Bron/KD/George/Noah/Davis/etc.
I can think of another PG, however, who's quite overrated

His supposed injury woes were overstated. He had one injury plagued season. That's it.

He's got that intangible IT like KD does. So yea, I thought he COULD be this good. You can never tell how shit will play out. Many factors.
I really thought (and still think) Jimmer will be pretty good in the NBA, too. But it ain't looking good.

Nope. I also thought Kyrie Irving would be a bust also since he barely played at Duke.

I knew Curry could shoot, but I didn't know he would go down a top 3 shooter in NBA history (on pace for #1 easily)

Yeah, I was so happy my Dubs got him. I knew watching him at Davidson how deadly his handles were and how quick his shot was. I knew he didn't need screens etc to make shots (like Reddick etc). Mostly though I saw him become an AMAZING passer and have great court vision. The team asked him to play pg and he crushed it at that.

I predicted for this year (from that thread):
25, 8.5, and 4.3 on 47%, 45%, 90%
His actual stats:
23.2, 8.4, 4.3 rpg on 46%, 41%, 87%

Not this good. Remember he was too small and not athletic enough to create his own space to shoot
BAsically the same shiet they said about Curry they said about Jimmer. So one of them made it.
