CP3.

And Wall > Irving

If Parker, Kyrie, and Rondo are there, I think Dragic deserves a mention. I would honestly take Goran over all 3 of those guys this season. Same goes for Wall.

As of right now, it's Goatbrook. Since his return he's been putting up 22/5/8/2 on 46/42/84 shooting, with elite defense. The fact that he's doing all this coming off a knee procedure is just absurd. The dude is a machine.

Depends on team.

Spread floor? Curry.
All Around? Dragic.
Break down D? Parker.
Flop like a fish? Paul.

Despite all of that, his impact is pretty meh. LAC plays fine without him. Take Curry off the Warriors and they aren't even in the playoff picture.

It will be interesting to see a healthy SAS who continues to improve every year against a healthy OKC in the playoffs. Probably very similar to 2012 except no Harden.

Chris Paul is the best Point Guard in the league.

Curry is the most explosive PG scorer in the league, but I think Paul is the total package and just a matter of when/if he turns up.

The thing about rankings is that the regular season and the playoffs are practically like two different sports.

For instance, if you're "ranking" guys right now and going by regular season performance, you probably think Kevin Love is a better player than Tim Duncan. But if you're picking one guy for your team going into the playoffs... most smart people are gonna take Duncan.

For the same reason, you could argue some of the flashier, more athletic, high ppg point guards are better than Chris Paul. But in a playoff atmosphere where every decision matters, your best bet is to take Chris Paul. Altho tbh I think Tony Parker is a very close second.

I typically rank guys based on how much I would value them in the playoffs. In that sense, Paul and Duncan are both still top 5 NBA players in my book.

westbrook has always been a gambler on defense, and at times it has hurt okc.

that said, at this point he is nearly the undisputed GOAT pg defending big men.

he has given okc limitless defensive switch/rotation options. watch an okc game for 5 minutes - i guarantee you will see GOATbrook fronting a PF or center at least once, and the GOAT does not disappoint. the opponent always rotates the ball thinking "oh shit we have a pg on our center - get himt he ball" and then the ball is rarely even fed into the post, as GOATbrook froths at the mouth and dares them to go at him.

and if the center does get the ball? well, this happens:

CP3 is the best in the league, he can beat you in many ways..if he's not scoring a lot of points he can still break down your defense with his penetration in the paint, with his IQ, elite vision , handles, and passing abilities along with a jumper..dude is almost unguardable which is why I hate when the rockets play the clippers..he always gives us problems

So not giving the ball to the opposing team 4 times a game equates to being a better passer? :facepalm

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't a point guard be able to protect the ball much better on a consistent basis than taking 4 possessions away from his team per game?

Because Westchuck is not a PG, and even if he was, he still isn't a better player than Paul.

He's an undersized SG. The only reason he's not one, is because he's trash offball.

Are you implying turnovers only happen because you're reckless with the ball? Are you implying Westbrook is a poor ballhandler? Or maybe you need
Paul's c0ck out of your @ss? Which is it? :confusedshrug:

Nobody is close to CP3 as a PG, and when I lay out the stats, all people will do is cite the 2nd round. What's funny is Curry is being said as, "better" and he hasn't either. And Westchuck CHUCKED OKC out of the finals.

It depends on what the point guard and the rest of the team does besides the turnovers.

Often, a good making relatively many turnovers is because they try(and succeed) with a lot of stuff, they play to the edge so to speak.
