I was close when the Raptors went up 8 with about 45 seconds to go. Figured I'd just watch some more NCAA tourney games. But after Durant made his first three to make it 118-113, I figured I'd ride it out.

The last 40 games Durant is averaging 35-8-6 on 50/40/86 shooting.

So, for damn near half the season he's averaging those absurd numbers.

57 seconds left in 4th in 93-93 game: Durant hits a 3 (26 footer by ESPN shot chart) after a key offensive rebound

2 seconds left in 2nd OT with OKC down 2: Durant hits a long pull-up 3 (31 footer) right in the defender's face to give OKC the win.

Fcking Edrick Perkins.

This was AT LEAST a Top 3-4 performance of Durant's this year. Easily. Still doesn't take away how great this game was for him. I still consider his 54 point game against GS to be his best, then his games against ATL and Minny are on par with this one.

Second night of a back-to-back and he started the game shooting 2/10. Meaning he shot 13/22 the rest of the game. A little weird that, in the second game of a road back-to-back he heated up as the game went on because usually players legs tire as the game progresses in those situations. And, really, he wasn't taking an dmissing bad shots in the 2/10 shot. He took missed some wide-open 10-15 footers he normally makes and even missed a pretty much wide open layup. Didn't look like it was going to be his night and no way in hell I thought he'd end up with 51 points.

Not to mention being double and tripled team the entire second half and the OTs and he still managed to score the majority of his points in that time period on great efficiency. Then, of course, he hits a cold-blooded game winner from 30 feet out with a defender draped all over him.

If KD wins the chip this year then he is.
That's a team accomplishment. Jordan was considered the best player from about '87-88 onward BEFORE he won a title. LeBron was the best player in the league by 2010 BEFORE he became champ.

Wtf, I didn't get to watch the game, but I just saw the highlights of his 51 points.

I kid you not, I felt wetness in my eyeballs, and all I kept saying is that "Kd is a bad bad man", over and over. It was like I was having flashbacks, to Dirks shooting in 2011

Exactly.

He was the one keeping the Thunder in the game. This, despite Amir Johnson doing all he could to deny Durant. The double teaming was actually working well, I don't know why they didn't do it in the end or just forced Durant to go to the line to take foul shots when it was a 2 point game.

Dude was also deliberately waiting to get trapped then passing the ball out to teammates for wide open shots.. but they kept missing them. Smart play, if his teammates weren't shooting like complete fools it would have been over long before.

Yeah, after he hit that three in overtime to make it 103-100, Toronto started doubling him 30 feet from the basket. OKC could've iced the game and won by 5-8 points in the 1st OT if someone could've stepped up and hit just one of the wide-open jumpers they were gifted. It happens, though. Just wasn't anyone else's night other than Reggie and even he missed an open 3 in OT. Second night of a back-to-back you have to expect the jumpers to be off, especially by the time the game got to OT.
