What the ****?

Put together a top 10 list of the league's current players and it doesn't hold a candle to players of even as little as 10 years ago. ****ing terrible. 10 years ago.. Hell, not even 6 or 7 years ago even.

The league is getting worse each year... and it's not simply nostalgia.

Who we got that would be on a top 10 list from 10 years ago right now?

Durant, James?

l.o.l.

The game is more team oriented now. Back in the old days it was just ISO/hero ball 1v1. For the real fans of the game of basketball this era is great.

So are you comparing today's basketball to pre Jordan? Haha, yeah right. Because his arrival ushered in hero ball.

The top 10 list from right now wouldn't compare to the top 10 list from 1984, either.

It's because your team doesn't have a star player. Quit fcking whining, you spoiled brat. :oldlol:

There's tons of fcuking stars in this league, even after just KD and Bron.

Cp3
Howard
Melo
Harden
Wade
Dirk
Love
Curry
Westbrook
Davis
Griffin
Wall
Aldridge
Duncan
Irving

I'm missing A LOT more, too.

As soon as guys get older (duncan, dirk) people just ASSUME they arent playing at an elite level anymore. This typically exposes the people who dont actually watch. Look at what Nash was doin at 38 in his last year in Phoenix.

People are always obsessed with whats new or whats next.

There worst part is Bran had to collude with two of the stars to win in such a weak era.

Lets also not forget that we're going through a "transition". A lot of the stars are young and will be superstars in 1-3 years.

#realtalk

The Vince Carter, AI blah blah wouldn't be scoring/featured as much today. Thank god we are moving away from poor mans Jordan's hoisting up 25 shots a game.

None of those guys would be top 10 in 2004 except maybe Paul.

Shaq, Kobe, A decade ago Duncan, Garnett, McGrady, A decade ago Nowitzki, Yao, Pierce, Ben Wallace, Jermaine O'Neal, Ron Artest... these guys SHIT on your 2014 list outside of LeBron and Durant in a HUGE ****ing way.

Nobody said that they aren't at an elite level anymore but if you want to argue that 2014 Duncan is even close to 2004 Duncan you need to go run into traffic asap and save us the resources you would have consumed throughout your useless life.

2014 Duncan and 2014 Dirk do not make the top 10 list from 2004. Sorry.

Teams have realised that its not about running your players into the ground trying to sell seats.

there are like 5 top heavy teams and then everybody else. Go some where with your "real fans" b.s.

I do think the league is headed in the right direction, tho..
