I barely got to see Sabonis play since im only 24 but from what I hear he was a very good player pre-injury. I saw some highlights and noticed he was pretty versatile for a center. He had a jumper and a post game.

I love Dwight but the current one wouldn't be able to beat the pre-injury Sabonis.

I've seen tons of Sabonis games and I'd say the only big man that could compare skill wise was Walton. Sabonis wasn't really great defender, but his size and feeling for the game made him somewhat decent on the defensive end as well.

A 24 year old Sabonis did outplay D Rob, but it must be stated that Robinson was a year removed from his last game at the moment. Not sure how that one game proves anything here though -- even without that it was clear that Sabonis was much more talented than Dwight on offense.

The question is how much would he have impacted the game at an NBA-level on D. From everything we've seen I think he would have done at least enough to be considered above Dwight level.

Literally all of Duncan and Shaq' s stats regressed in this era. And don't play the "age" card because you brought them up. Dwight could do so much more without that 3 second and Charles Barkley rule. Along with being able to play physical in the low-post because refs award flops against Dwight so much. This is why Dwight always averages much better numbers in the playoffs.
